"very nice historic hotel with great views of the country side and great atmphere. Room size and ammenities were wonderful. The breakfeast was great. Restaurant was nice with historic dishes. Only down side was the gluten and nut free options were limited...mainly for gluten sufferers, since the only gluten free pasta is Penne, which is not great for all dishes and frustratingsince Italy produces a very large variety of great gluten free pasta shapes. Also, my travel partner and I did the same pasta, one gluten free (penne) and one not gluten free. The non-gluten-free pasta came beautifully presented, while the gluten-free pasta came like it was thrown together last minute… like as if you were sitting at your own kitchen table. Impression given with the dinner is that people with allergies, are more a bit of a bother, and the typical mission in Italy, to give visitors an excellent culinary experience, is more less abandoned for people with allergies. that said, accommodating allergies is very difficult these days and at least the menu was clear about which foods contain which allergens."

"We took a refreshing swim in between wine tastings during the 54th Chianti Expo since the hotel is right in the city center. Great friendly staff. Amazing experience."

"From the moment Mateo greeted us as we drove up the driveway, our 5 night stay was filled with great service. The entire staff is so helpful and the property is beautiful. The view from the terrace is the ultimate Tuscan view. Our room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent and the wines are as well. I cannot recommend this property highly enough to do it justice."

"Lovely house with everything we needed. The gardens were fantastic but we could have done without the mosquitoes! There is no AC but the house remained cool even in the summer heat. Great location, walkable to restaurants and a close drive to wineries. Grazie Mille Carolina!"

"This property is excellent! By far the highlight of our two weeks touring Italy was Tuscany and particularly this property and its hosts. We felt spoiled from the moment we arrived and were welcomed with a cool glass of prosecco and given a short tour. The property itself is gorgeous and very historic with panoramic views of Florence and the countryside surrounding it. Our room felt luxurious and was very well maintained. The breakfast provided was superb and filling and our hosts even helped us map out a driving tour of the area, highlighting some of the 'must see' villages and wine tours available to us. We loved this place so much and hope to return some day soon!"
