The first welcoming by Eleni and the help staff (the guy who welcomes and carries luggage, and the guy who brings lemonade) is all this hotel has to offer (the massage was good too). Other than that, no quality or hospitality to be found there. Totally undeserved 5-star rating, with problematic wi-fi connectivity, and rude restaurant (breakfast) staff. We stayed two nights and the only things I remember is that people are not allowed to eat breakfast in their swimsuit (we were asked to leave the restaurant and come back with "decent" clothes - at 8am), there is no reason at all to put the "do not disturb" sign, because they're going to disturb you either way with mini-bar checks or request to clean up, and that the pool is very small and kinda dirty. And most importantly, that during the night there is no one to bring water, you are asked to go downstairs on your own and check with the bar tender. Also, there was no option for late checkout because "other people have reserved the room and are on their way" (the hotel was not even at half capacity), the lead receptionist - Maura I think is her name - insisted so much that we were asked to immediately go upstairs (we were on our way for a walk) to pack our stuff. We found her behavior very impolite, and that's a shame. In general, disappointment, frustration, and disgust with the whole experience, truly. If you respect your relaxation time and your money I would definitely NOT recommend Castello.
