"Bathroom had some molding, bed sheets were in bad shape. The room walls are so thin, you can hear all your neighbor's rooms. Came back home with some bites in my left arm possibly from bed bugs. Never staying here again.. Staff was nice and friendly though."

" I was born and raised in Rockford, so I have a pretty high tolerance for most people and really any type of situation.— I booked through Expedia for a 6 night stay. The first room clearly needed a deep clean, with sticky residue on furniture and what looked like mouse droppings. Around 10pm on my first night (7 hours after I booked into my room) I heard rustling noises. I discovered a stray cat inside my locked second-floor room. I still have no explanation for how the cat got in, I think it was abandoned. The staff wouldn’t answer my questions about if anyone stayed in that room recently. I called the front desk six times. No answer. Expedia also tried calling with no response. I stood outside in 30° weather for about 45 minutes waiting for help. When staff finally arrived, they attempted to remove the cat. I ultimately trapped it myself. I was moved to another room with no apology or explanation. The second room had a broken TV and a leaking refrigerator. During my stay, I saw what appeared to be a crack pipe in the stairwell and a syringe in the parking lot, along with frequent yelling from long-term guests. For the price paid, this stay did not meet basic safety or cleanliness standards. The property may have potential, but it needs better staffing, management, and cleaning practices. I expected basic functionality and safety. This motel failed to provide either."

"Where do I start? The virtual check in was, although friendly enough individuals, the lady on the monitor was having a conversation with her husband or someone so the experience was less than professional. I shouldhve checked the area because I waited in the car because there was a gentleman at the kiosk while his fiend waited in the car. Did I mention he had a full ski mask on? Just a bit intimidated to say the least. So now let’s get to the room. Limited amenities, shower was crusty, room smelled musty. Didn’t know what was going on with the toilet. Looked like under, behind hasn’t been cleaned in a while.. we was flying out at 6 am so we wasn’t trying to get to airport by 4. At 3:45 am while we loading up the car, a very slow rolling, full of guys creeps by us and parked. We hurried up and got back into the somewhat safety of the room. Needless to say, we might have got 2 hours of sleep.. sorry for the unfavorable review but truth be told…!! "

"Our host was fantastic, checking in with us (via VRBO messaging) periodically. The home is simply lovely, spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is very cool. We highly recommend this one!"

"The place seems small but it had plenty of space for the two of us. There was a pest problem, however. The last time my Dad stayed here, about 3 or 4 months ago, he too had these pest problems. I told Diane about it and she dropped off some traps for us. Just be careful if you leave opened food out. The kitchen had minimal utensils and items to use, but it was good enough. The bedrooms did not have enough sockets so bring a surge protector. Might stay here again. I was not a fan of the pests nor having to pay a non-refundable deposit for damages. There seems to be some age discrimination with this place as my Dad, who is 64, does not recall having to pay the same fee... I'm 38. Overall, not bad not great. "
