Excellent hotel. The. Service was first class. Everyone at the hotel takes great pride as employees, nothing is too much trouble. The room was perfect, great shower and the air conditioning worked well. The food was amazing, great choice and freshly made. I loved the rooftop pool,a real treat. This is a luxurious hotel which I can thoroughly recommend

The rooms are all delightful here; comfortable beds, exceptionally clean bathrooms (yes I confess I was worried about this in the UK as you get many depressing reports). Breakfast was good with plentiful tea, toast etc and all the staff are warm and friendly.
Evening meals can be freshly cooked if ordered in advance and the one I ate was fab and such good value.
I will not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend Colonel's Retreat to everyone.

Apparently not all Manor Rooms have the bathtub as advertised on Expedia . That was the whole reason we booked the room to begin with, as after a long voyage through India we were looking forward to some nice bubblebaths and relaxation. After a bit of back and forth, I was able to secure the room I wanted, though only after being offered an...

When we arrived we were allocated a room at the front (room 204?), it was quite noisy due to dogs barking. When we spoke to reception about it the following morning we were immediately moved room to a better room at the back (201) without any question or argument. The hotel is in a very narrow alleyway in Old Delhi, cars cannot get to the hotel but staff were very helpful carrying our bags to the taxi. Don't let the location put you off as it's a really interesting area wandering down the little...
