Nice hotel in a convenient location. Great ambience and cozy room. Unfortunately Kept getting disturbed early morning by room service which really dampened my experience

Pros: The lift is very cook - but if left not properly closed it won't work so make sure you do close it for others.
Cons: The water in the shower took a while to get quite hot, but it got there eventually.
Location: Great location! The Catherdral and the Necropolis which are both beautiful are only about 20mins walk. A bar called Swing is highly recommended!!
Glasgow really surprised me in a good way. The hotel is very central - shopping, sightseeing, bars and gyms are very close. If you're a gym fanatic like me- there is a great gym called Xercise4less - which charges only £5 for a day pass - it's huge and has an amazing variety of equipment. The Cathedral and the Necropolis are both beautiful and recommended to see - as only 20mins walk from the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants - also highly recommend to go and eat at the Mussle Inn - amazing fish restaurant - order the sharing fish platter - it's to die for!!

4* I think not

Booked a double room, had 2 singles pushed together room 318 unfortunately one being 3 inches higher than other making our romantic break quite uncomfortable. Had to request coffee, milk and sugar for the room 3 times before receiving any, and then was only given 3 complimentary coffees for 2 adults on a 2 night stay!! Couldnt have dinner in the restaurant as the roof had collapsed in the kitchen!! Wrote email of compliment to general manager and still no reply!!!!

Good value, convenient location and clean rooms

Beautiful old building is well maintained, a block off the Sauchiehall shopping street, and a convenient 10 minute walk to either of the Glasgow train stations. Lots of options for food and entertainment on Bath street all around the hotel. We would stay here again.

They were fantastic. Sunday morning at 7am with a 2 year old, they got me breakfast. Getting me a room on the first floor with the stroller reduced stress. They were awesome in every way.

Friendly, clean and entertaining..!!

The room was small and stuffy but clean. The decor was dated and a few repairs required - radiator in the bathroom was loose; the fan in the bathroom was ineffective; the A/C unit was filthy and full of accumulated dust. Breakfast being an extra cost was a disappointment (as the room was already £140 for one night) but pretty good value at £10. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This was entertaining - sometimes didn't work but it was a privilege to walk into it and out again without going anywhere. I would stay there again but manage my own expectations ahead of this.
