The staff was excellent could not do enough we been there 3 years on the trot and was recognised bye staff was a loverly stay and devo comming back thank you as it was my birthday week and devo enjoyed
I come here regularly and find that the standard is consistently good. The refurbished bedrooms have been done well.
This is one of the best three star hotels. The reception is however five star in its
treatment of guests.
My 90 year old Mum and I stayed for one night while visiting family. The staff were all helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to meet our needs. Super comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Breakfast included speciality coffees and a good menu of choices. The sun shone for us and we enjoyed the outside spaces. We highly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel wright next to beach, with ample parking. Breakfasts good. Bar area more set up for meals, great terrace over looking the sea.
Good Hotel if you just want a beach because not a lot of other pubs about, Taxi into Yarmouth £12.60p. Also no lift in hotel.
We have stayed at the Cliff Hotel before a few years ago so knew what to expect.
The food was excellent, staff where very helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit on the small size for a standard double but we did ask for a walk in shower which was provided which might be why we had that room but the bed was massive and very comfortable, had enough room to walk about without knocking into anything but the bathroom needed to be a bit bigger nowhere to put your toiletries. Our room was on the first floor so only had a short flight of stairs to go up but wouldn't have liked to be any higher trying to carry suitcases so think it would help if there was a lift especially for people like ourselves who are in our 70s. Also the carpet on the stairs needs replacing it was a bit threadbare but over all we enjoyed our stay and would go again.
2nd time at the Cliff lovely break was in one of the referbed rooms on ground floor lovely room but very noisy from room above food and srvice was great as always special mention for Maggie at breakfast she is a star

We travel to the area regularly to visit family and thought we would give the Cliff a go versus our usual chain hotel choice. Overall our stay was good with a few caveats.
The good bits:
Restaurant was nice with a pleasant atmosphere food good and reasonably priced, bar prices were also very competitive especially for a hotel, room was well appointed and spacious with a huge bed, cleanliness was good overall. The breakfast was very good and hot items are cooked to order.
The not so good:
Sound transmission between rooms is dreadful, some areas of the hotel are a bit tired, an alarm going off intermittently in the early hours was not welcome and ruined our nights sleep. Car parking is limited and on the second night we had to park some distance away on the road.
Would we stay again? Yes possibly but only if we upgraded to a room on the other side of the hotel and at a quieter time when parking is easier.
Lovely stay , hotel grounds lovely and restaurant and bar.
Rooms etc slightly outdated

Beautiful hotel with lots of history! The room was very clean and well equipped for a weekend stay. The breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh to order.
Reception staff were pleasant, though noticeably lacking in basic local knowledge, such as the location of nearby bus stops. The room allocated did not match the full sea view room that had been paid for, and although £50 was deducted from the bill, this did not adequately compensate for the downgrade.
The standout member of staff was Maggi at breakfast, whose service was consistently excellent. In contrast, the Sunday lunch was unacceptable in both quality and presentation, leading to us dine elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
Several issues affected the overall experience: two early morning fire alarms 12am and 4am with no subsequent explanation; extremely slow or unavailable internet for two days without any communication; the guest lounge closed for all of the stay, reopening only on departure day; and threadbare stair carpets indicating poor maintenance.
Would not stay again
Excellent location. Top floor has a lovely sea and beach view. Reception were friendly and booking in easy. The choice of breakfast was excellent as were the breakfast staff. The only downside was that I booked during the heatwave and there’s no air conditioning in the room. A fan is provided-but in extreme heat air conditioning would’ve been perfect. I recommend this hotel and will return in the future.
We had a lovely stay at the cliff, Hotel. And the lady at the breakfast. She was wonderful. I give a good trip. I think her name was Maggie. Lovely lady. Highly recommend to stay. But be warned. Large portions of food. And the cocktails. Are fantastic. Good value. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Room spacious, clean and comfortable
Breakfast fantastic and Maggie is very helpful
Reception team helpful
Staff were very helpful and the restaurants were very nice and prices were reasonable with the 20% off for guests and the free breakfast was nice with plenty of options
Good size rooms our room was at the top on the second floor and found it quite warm but the was a fan but no aircon and no lifts so I struggled a bit with Injury to knee but doable they did offer a ground floor room if I wanted but it was ok
The outside terrace attached to the restaurants was nice and overlooked the nice beach
