It is across a road from the Amtrak station and a short walk into the center of town or the Western Maryland RR with its mallet steam locomotive 1309 (make sure it is running by visiting their website). The hotel is old but the staff and the people who stay there are friendly. The breakfast is functional. Overall the Ramada is an economical way to see the beauty and history of west Maryland."
