The Space:
Morning light filters through the dome as mist drifts across the mountains, and the night sky unfurls a blanket of stars above the quiet woods. The air carries a crisp, clean scent that invites you to slow down, sink into warmth, and feel fully immersed in the landscape. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub after a day of exploring or curled up on the couch watching the view shift with the light, the rhythm here is unhurried and grounding.
Sleeping arrangements
The dome sleeps two guests in a king‑size bed topped with a heated mattress topper, perfect for cool mountain evenings. A full indoor bathroom with a shower and bathroom essentials keeps you comfortable without stepping into the cold. Heating and air conditioning are available year‑round, so the space stays cozy in winter and pleasantly cool in summer.
Outdoor living
Step onto the private deck to take in sweeping mountain views that change with the light. A hot tub on the deck offers steam‑filled relaxation under the stars, especially magical on crisp evenings. A fire pit nearby creates a natural gathering spot for quiet conversations, and the surrounding backyard connects you directly to the 37‑acre nature preserve. Free parking and a private entrance make arrivals and departures effortless.
Kitchen & dining
A compact kitchen area provides the essentials for simple meals and snacks, with enough space for coffee in the morning or a relaxed dinner after a day on the trails. The dining spot opens to the interior living area, allowing you to enjoy your food while still feeling the dome’s airy ambiance.
Neighborhood & setting
Serenity Base is part of the Cooper Mountain private retreat, with two other domes nearby—one about 60 feet away and another over 120 feet away. While you may see other guests occasionally, your deck, hot tub, and fire pit remain dedicated to your stay, preserving a sense of privacy within the shared setting. The property sits alongside wooded trails and open areas, inviting you to explore the natural surroundings at your own pace.

Guests who love nature, quiet surroundings, and a glamping experience that blends comfort with the outdoors will feel right at home. We are adventurous foody travellers. And this place was just what we needed after a two day long trip of outdoor adventures. We coukdnt have asked for a better private, remote, and beautiful place in the lap.of mother nature. Absolutely Mesmerizing and Relaxing. Dont think twoce...Go for ahead and BOOK IT !
My husband and i shared our honeymoon here together. It was perfect! The owner was so wonderful and the place is super special. We were looking for a relaxing place to stay in the mountains and couldn't have asked for a better time.Being able to lay in bed and view the stars was so great. We were lucky enough to see the meteor shower from the hot tub. Normally when we stay at a place the grill is gross and not usable...but here it was not the case and we got to grill an amazing meal using local food. When i searched for places in the area to stay this was one of the first that popped up and it was so unique that we had to go. Thanks for an amazing stay! We will be back and many of our friends are excited to check it out, too!
Perfect for relaxing and escaping the stresses of everyday life. Comfortable, clean, and very accommodating for our needs. Host Tony was excellent with quick responses to my questions. Even people who live on Coopers Mtn welcomed us as they drove by us as we walked. Out stay at Serenity Base met all our expectations!
We loved staying here. We wanted to experience the luxe dome. It exceeded all our expectations. The bed was so comfortable and being able to look out at the night sky and the dawn while still laying there was so restful. The company was so helpful. We had an issue with the hot tub. They had a maintenance man there the next day. We received correspondence from them concerning our stay giving recommendations and asking if any problems. We were very impressed with their professionalism. We had picked this area because we wanted to do a little leaf peeping and to ride the Potomac Eagle. We plan to definitely come back. Only considerations just know there is only a small refrigerator so maybe have a cooler if have a lot of food that needs to be cold.
