The house is clean and well stocked. The trails were peaceful to walk and fun for the grandkids to explore. They had fun with the many toys and games in the house when we weren’t on the trails. I can't say enough positive things about our trip! The owner was amazing! He responded to all communications very quickly. During our stay, we lost power, and he was responding to our messages on a Saturday night almost instantly. The house went above and beyond our expectations! The amenities were perfect for all ages. Our teenagers loved the game room in the basement. The pond was a nice walk away and we caught (and released) a lot of fish. We loved watching the birds at the 2 bird feeders from the sun room and the wrap around porch with the rocking chairs was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. Everything is setup with such care to ensure our comfort. From supplying coffee and paper goods to comfortable beds, couches and chairs. So, they liked it enough to come back. We found the house clean and neat and what we expected when we arrived. It was a nice personal touch for the owner to come and fill the bird feeders and clean the bbq grill. We enjoyed the various live plants in the house; it is obvious that they are well cared for. The personal amenities by the front door, well stocked kitchen, light by the front door for nighttime entries, and helpful labels by the light switches are appreciated and especially enhanced our stay. There was hand soap at every sink as well. The house is welcoming and home-y feeling. The clean and spacious environment provided many options for relaxing and recreation. The house is lovely and the setting is pastoral and idyllic. Very quiet and beautiful property with green fields, pond, and hills as far as you can see all around. The house is has many amenities and is very comfortable, 2-zone AC, covered porch with rocking chairs, outside deck with grill and firepit, and a large basement game room with TV, pool table, Foosball, darts, ping pong, corn hole, card table and even an electronic organ. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked. The various family and living rooms are furnished with very comfortable seating. It was the perfect base for an extended weekend with our family to visit delightful Berkeley Springs (15 minutes away) and historic and beautiful Harper's Ferry (1 hour). Also Cacapon State Park is 10 minutes away and has many things to offer the outdoor minded, including a magnificent ridge view where you can see 4 states. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will visit again with family members who couldn't make this trip. Chris and the Berkeley Ridge team were great and made sure everything went smoothly.
