"Quaint, all the details, romantic, secluded. It is about 15 minutes south of Fredericksburg. The animals were so fun and we enjoyed the views. They even provided snacks for us to feed the animals. Great little getaway!"

"We enjoyed the National Park which was great walking and exercise for us to go and listen to the birds and more. we enjoyed the Hot/Jet Tub. It rained frequently but was not too muddy. But did make the weather temp awesome. did not need much a/c with windows open to enjoy cooler air The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very smooth. Very nice touch to have breakfast foods in refrig upon arrival. Plenty of supplies: bath towels, dog towels, muddy feet towels, Only issues: as a property manager by trade, I did notice that the oven smoked when we used it The kitchen faucet leaks at handle base I do recommend a commercial outdoor/indoor entrance mat to place dog water/food on since dog water does not always stay inside the bowl… we set a towel down to help with this and always (at home too) wipe dog face after drinking. "

"This is one of the best vacation homes I have ever rented . The attention to details and making the stay memorable for my daughter’s bachelorette trip was pure perfection!! The farm house is beautiful and the friendly donkeys , llama and highland cows makes it one of the best experiences ever !! Thank you isn’t near enough!! "

"This place was amazing. It matched the pictures. We spent some time in town each day, but also spent much of the day on the porch - grilling, eating, reading, talking, and just enjoying the wonderful view. Two things to be aware of: I would not like to try to find it in the dark my first time in. Also, the coffee maker is a Keurig, so if you drink a lot of coffee like we do you might want to bring some extra pods. "

"Cabin was clean, comfortable, amd just as described. It is definitely off the beaten path a bit, and we really enjoyed the natural setting and privacy. Plenty of wildlife and nature to take in, while still being only 20 minutes from town and all the shopping and restaurants. One thing we missed in the listing was no cable TV and the TV was not able to be used for streaming. They did however have a number of DVD's available to enjoy. Unique property surrounded by woods if you are looking to unplug and get away for a few days. We enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future if we return to the area. "

"The whole house was super cozy. It’s a 100-year-old historic home, so don’t expect modern amenities. The beds are queen-size, and I thought it was a three-bedroom since we told VRBO there were five of us. Turns out, it’s a two-bedroom with a pullout sofa bed in the kitchen dining area. Overall, it was comfortable, and it’s about 10 to 15 minutes from town. The host was the best!"
