My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The cabin is in a perfect location. We were within walking distance of the main street in town but it still felt very secluded. (PS: try the ice cream shop) I was shocked by the amenities these hosts provided. It shows how much they care and it was much appreciated. The fire pit in the backyard and the grill was a huge plus! It was such a cute and cozy cabin. Everything was well maintained and clean. 10/10 would recommend and I hope to return in the near future. ##### Alex A. It was wonderful. We loved the interior decorating (country cottage more than mountain cabin perhaps and tastefully done). The location is perfect. We could walk to shops and restaurants in town within minutes but the property still has a remote woodsy feel to it. The photos don't show it but there's a neighboring cabin about 20 feet away (to the right of the front porch with the flags on it). It wasn't a problem for us because it was unoccupied most of the time we were there. People arrived as we were leaving but they were very nice. (Know that in the town of Grand Lake homes are typically located close to each other but you won't be bothered much by it.) Photos show a wood stove but it was inoperable while we were there. We would have used it but didn't choose this property based on that so we didn't mind. There were many more appliances and supplies than expected (ziplock bags, paper plates, napkins, blender, etc.) which was nice. Kudos to the owner/caretaker for their consideration! There's a fire pit in the back yard that we enjoyed using one night and plenty of firewood, although we wished we could have temporarily disabled the motion controlled security flood light that came on whenever we moved about. It wasn't a big deal though. The new owner has made it sooo comfortable and has spared no expense on making sure the guests are very well taken care of. The cabin is furnished with everything you need and decorated just as you would want in a cabin. Often times some rentals are furnished with cheap furniture, beds and appliances- not the Little Blue Moose!!! The location is also absolutely perfect. One block from all the downtown action while still giving you the feel of being tucked away in the woods. This cabin was hands down the best place I've stayed. It is absolutely darling! Every detail is amazing. It is quaint, and could sleep more than the 3 of us that came this time. The kitchen is totally stocked and even the dishes and cups are darling. There is a great deck, both in front and back and a separate little room out back. It is literally 2 blocks from the main downtown area and we walked up to Adams Falls. The VRBO app is terrible so the owner just sent me all of the info needed, which was great. I'll be back to this one. It is perfect for young kids. They updated the second bedroom to be Smokey the Bear themed, and there are numerous games, stuffed animals, and books for young kids. Our girls, ages 3 and 5 loved it. It is a 2 block walk to main street and the park, and a very short distance to the lake. The property had everything we needed and was in perfect shape. I highly recommend this cabin, especially for families with young children. The host was very kind and accommodating. Stayed 4 nights in Jun 2019 ### 6/10 Okay #### Joe C. 4 Jun 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### Great location ....Some Friendly Suggestions On the plus side: - we really liked the location being so close to town - the cottage is nicely updated - the owner has good taste and has it nicely decorated - one morning we saw two moose playing in the neighbors yard sprinkler across from the cottage! - lots of videos to play on the DVR - the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable - the couch pull out bed in the living area is pretty comfortable for a pull out - nice front and back porches to sit and relax On the “friendly suggestions” side of the ledger: - more accurately represent the size of the second bedroom. The picture of the second bed on the VRBO site makes it look like it is in a room of some size. That bed is actually in a room I would consider more the size of a small walk-in closet, which is basically what my wife used it for. - Make sure the internet is working for those of us who need it for work - put a hair dryer in the cottage - put an old fashion ice tray in the freezer to make ice - the old gas stove is really cool looking, but does not serve a purpose in an area which has limited space. Maybe consider putting a dishwasher there? - put a smart tv in the cottage for live tv viewing - more glasses, I drank red wine out of a glass mug.
