It is very close to downtown Grand Lake, which has phenomenal restaurants, and places to shop. It is right on the Colorado river for beautiful scenery. Our kids (3 y/o and 2 y/o) utilized the on-site playground a lot and loved it. It would also be a great place to stay for multiple families/groups as there are multiple cabins on-site, but never felt overcrowded as there is plenty of space. I would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in or near Grand Lake. We had an awesome long weekend as a family of 4 (children 8 and 13). Camp-fires at night, hikes and spending time on the lake during the day.
