We booked this hotel in very short order and were not disappointed. Once inside the gate it is an oasis of greenery and calm. It's quite a transition from wide open non-descript street to find yourself parking by huge rubber plants and beautiful established gardens. The house is incredible and super comfortable - our room was perfect and very big! A romantic two night stay at the start of our Garden Route drive from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. The view was amazing, the property, host, sunsets and breakfasts were fabulous and we slept very well in the large bed. We also watched dolphins pass by which made the trip even more special.

Hotel wasn't busy at all when we stayed, it was only for one night but it is during their winter. Beautiful hotel, we treated ourselves to the presidential suite for our honeymoon but it was very well priced! Staff were great and so accommodating.

Stayed 1 night in maritime room , large room with a very large comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely and had a large choice. Very attentive and excellent hosts.

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently and loved it. The welcome from Wendy, Christopher and the wee doggie was lovely. We were disappointed to be staying only one night. The room was spotless with an honesty bar, large TV, air con, extremely comfortable bed, large bathroom/wet room, tea/coffee. On arrival we were given filter coffee and biscotti by the pool while Wendy chatted with us. One of the nicest touches was as we were getting ready to go out for dinner, we had a knock at the door and...

Decent hotel, room was abit aged. Mattress felt cheap but on the other hand the hotel was reasonably priced and in a great location. That said, i WOULD book here again

Great accommodation. We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was brilliant for us. Breakfast great also. Claudette who ran the lodge was really helpful and friendly as well.
