The gas fire pit has been moved down to the pool deck area. GENERAL INFORMATION; \*\*\*We have an extensive page Trip Planner document that gives tips on everything from; SUV rentals and flight information to the best restaurants, beaches, tours and everything in between. Most guests find that document to be invaluable and it saves them a lot of money. \*\*\*We have a great car rental guy who gives all of our guests special deals for renting with us since we refer so much business to him. We also have the best tour/fishing guide in the Bahamas. He specializes in the swimming pigs, all sorts of fishing and spearfishing trips, sea turtles, sand bars, rope swings, etc. We have been using both guys exclusively since since 2016\. The owner of the property also can rent kayaks and snorkel gear and stuff like that for you. Please do not ask us prices on these optional services as they vary depending what you rent and what time of year, etc. You will deal directly with each vendor after you book with us to determine your services and prices. \*\*\*Bahamian owned - So the cool thing is that your funds go right into the local economy, not in the pockets of a foreign investor. Eleuthera is generally a fairly poor island and that is a BIG deal for their economy. \*\*\*Please note we do not accept any pets, emotional, support or therapy animals due to extreme allergies/health related issues in our family. WHO WE ARE AS HOSTS; We have been VRBO/HomeAway Premier Hosts since 2016 with over 20 properties and many thousands of reviews online averaging 4.95 stars average out of 5.0 stars. We always respond to any guests concerns immediately and have a well seasoned staff in every location. For example this cottage, the Bahamian owner lives locally so if you need anything they are right there. We have thousands of 5 star reviews online. PROPERTY OVERVIEW; There are 3 villas at this property so if your dates are not available please ask us and we can direct you to the two other villas or one of our other many properties we have on the island. The entire property compound is fenced and private with lovely grassy area along with many palm trees and flowering shrubs. Each villa is identical with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room and 3 separate outdoor decks. All villas have their own private space and BBQ grill. The pool area and hot tub, elevated sundeck and gas fire pit and exterior dining table are shared spaces. The hot tub is obviously heated and the pool is not heated. There is lots of deck furniture around the pool and up in the sundeck area. There is an outdoor shower by the pool. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on the property grounds as well and is free to use for each guest, just supply your own detergent. Having a pool and hot tub is a great asset and there is no nicer beach on the island than Airport Beach. YOUR VILLA; Each Villa has excellent mini split Air Conditioners in each room, FREE Wi-Fi, a phone to make FREE local calls, large Smart TV equipped with cable and FREE parking at the property. All villas are equipped with 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each and also the sectional couch in each villa serves as another area for 2 people to sleep if you have 6 people in total. With 4 people each couple has their own bedroom and their own bathroom. There are 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers with large ceiling rain shower heads, a large well stocked full kitchen with a dining table and chairs. The kitchen has a full size fridge, electric range/oven, microwave, large sink, blender, toaster, Melitta coffee maker, Imusa Expresso and Cappuccino maker, lots of pots and pans and kitchen gadgets to cook full time if you desire. There is closet and storage space in each Villa. Each villa comes with 3 private decks attached to your individual villa off each bedroom and the main entry living area. There are hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings as well. You will also have your own charcoal grill, guests must supply their own charcoal, to use during your stay to grill all that seafood you catch with our boat captain! Each villa is exactly identical to the others so there is no difference between villa 1-2-3\. Enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets from the decks and views of both Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The setting is very relaxing and the perfect place for mental health, stress relief and to unwind. Safety is something many guests ask about and our location is extremely safe and our property is well lit and we have never had a single crime issue. Eleuthera is generally a very safe island not be confused with other non-safe Bahamian islands such as Nassau. PLEASE NOTE; The villas are identical, however the one you are renting may have slightly different decor on the walls or different colored bedding as shown in the photos, etc. OUR LOCATION; The Landing Villas is located about 7 miles north of Governor’s Harbor the island's capital. Remember Eleuthera is long thin island being 110 miles top to bottom and only half a mile wide. So if you pick the wrong destination to stay, be prepared for a lot of driving on some bad roads coupled with gas prices being double as back home! We are in a superb central location for exploring both to the north and to the south of the island and we are very close to the island's best attractions. See our map in the photo section. Airport Beach, one of the nicest beaches on the island (and in the world) is right at the end of our dirt road which is a 1 minute drive or a 5 minute walk. You can literally walk for miles in either direction along the beach and enjoy some of the best snorkeling on the entire island with the coral formations just offshore. There are many beaches, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, liquor stores, food stores, banks, island attractions and gas stations all within 3 – 15 minutes away heading north and south. Eleuthera is a sleepy island with some flaws; bad roads, dated infrastructure, more frequent than back home power / water / internet outages, geckos sometimes will be in a home and painfully slow service at certain places. In Eleuthera people are genuine, helpful and kind. It is unspoiled and gorgeous and mostly empty going back back 75 years in time. You will explore the most stunning beaches you have ever seen and have them usually all to yourself. The property has a shared pool and hot tub and we were lucky that the other 2 units were not in use so we had the place to ourselves. We had come for a SCUBA vacation but the weather did not cooperate (too windy) so we were only able to snorkel which we did nearly every day - snorkeling quite good at multiple sites around the island. Definitely need a rental car for this property since it is in the middle of the island (about an hour drive south of the main international airport). We had to do a lot of driving and initially thought it might have been better to stay further north. However, as the week passed we were able to explore many beaches from north to south tips of Eleuthera so the location was actually quite good. The bedrooms and bathrooms are small (but adequate) and the kitchen is well stocked with most everything you need. It takes a couple of tries to find groceries that you need but worth cooking in a bit because even casual restaurants are quite expensive - expect to pay twice what you might pay in the states and many places prefer to be paid in cash. Overall, a reasonable place to stay - not luxurious but comfortable for a family vacation. ##### Harold S. Really comfortable for two people. Hot tub and firepit was nice as well as the shallow pool. Good central location for exploring the whole island. No restaurants really close but within 10 minutes. We highly recommend this rental! It was super clean, modern, and comfortable. We found it to be a great location, close distance to Governor’s Harbour and Rainbow Bay. Just wish we were closer to the beach. That was my fault. Hot tub was not working and upper deck for sunset viewing was closed off too. The gas grill was a charcoal grill so we never cooked on it. Internet was great and plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. A/C worked great loved Eleuthera and the people there! We will return! We were there for several hours and didn’t see another person. The softest sand I’ve ever seen. Great beach. Once we discovered Spanish Wells about an hour drive north we spend most of two days there. Cool place. Several great things to not miss seeing on the island. Queen’s bath was the most amazing thing. The villa (we stayed in Terminal 1) was adorable and the property was just as pictured in the listing. The big surprise was that the villas are next to Governor’s Harbour Airport NOT North Eleuthera Airport where we flew into. That meant an hour drive for us to get there and also the hour drive back to the boat taxi for Harbour Island. Take note! My husband took the couch, two of my teens took one room and my other teen and I took the second room. The beds were so comfortable! The bathrooms are a tight fit but the rain showers are big. The remote controlled A/C units were so handy. The kitchen is a great size and was equipped with most everything we needed. The only things we had to buy in addition to our desired groceries were salt and pepper. The on-site laundry room came in super handy. I enjoyed the pool although the rest of my family didn’t go in - they felt like it was full of bugs. I did use the net available to clean it out some. No big deal. There were 2 hornets’ nests in 2 corners of the pool which we sprayed with bug killer after we let the housekeeper know and she had someone bring some by. She also turned on the pool filter during our second day. Unfortunately a small child staying in another one of the villas was stung on their foot by a hornet which was sad to witness. My teens used the hot tub a couple of times but it was suddenly drained about halfway through our stay and didn’t get refilled. Airport Beach is indeed beautiful. Construction was taking place in the lot before you reach the beach and the workers directed us to where the path is. It is a decent walk to the beach from the villas on rugged terrain (rocks, sand dunes, stairs covered in sand, tall grass, etc.) so plan accordingly for young children or those who may have mobility challenges. A rental car is definitely needed to stay here. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive into the town of Governor’s Harbour. We would have liked to have been closer in to town. Chris the caretaker was friendly and communicative and we got our rental car from him which worked out well. The DirectTV satellite went out 2 days during our weeklong stay which was a bummer but not the end of the world. All in all we were able to relax, explore the island and have a clean and comfy home base. ##### Stacey F. Its a lovely place, quiet surroundings, a 5 minute walk to a sprawling pink sand beach. It was an excellent stay. Very comfortable.
