- Escape to the tranquil beauty of Lake of Egypt! This property is a perfect landing for those seeking a relaxing retreat just minutes from the Shawnee National Forest & local wineries. You’ll be surrounded by stunning scenery & endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Our spacious one-bedroom rental features a king bed & a full-sized pullout, making it the perfect size for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up delicious meals, & the covered porch provides the perfect spot for enjoying breakfast with a view. Step outside & follow the path to the lake, where you’ll have access to your own private dock for boating & swimming. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing while watching the twinkling glow of the fireflies. Located 4 miles from I-57 & I-24. Comfortable for up to 4 people.
