The worst hotel I used to stay in

Posted 24-Aug-2015
Didn't plan to stay in this hotel after read other's review but Expedie gave it after a blind booking. Hotel was so dirty and cheap renovated, I don't know how can they have 3 stars. Very disappointed with it and Expedia, felt like Expedia was helping them to cheat the customer by their blind booking way. This hotel,no,should be motel, worth 30$ only but charge 120$. We even didn't take a shower there because of the dirty washroom and towel. If without the kids,I will choose to sleep in my car. It is the worst hotel I used to stay in north America.

Pros: Nothing !
Cons: 1) Rooms needs to be cleaned properly. 2) Bedding should be good and certainly needs improvement. 3) Absolute lack of cross ventilation is also bad.

Horrible management, won't refund double booking

Posted 16-Aug-2015
Pros: Nothing...well, the mattress wasn't bad.
Cons: Honest management. Clean room. Water that stayed at a somewhat consistent temperature during a shower. A table for the coffee maker. Insulated walls
Location: Next to horrible restaurant, highway, trailer park.
I was apprehensive about getting a room at this hotel based on the reviews, but there were no other rooms left. Now I know why. I used the Expedia app on my phone to make the resevation and the first one failed, then told me to try again. I tried again and booked a room. When I arrived they had two reservations. The kid at the counter said I needed to talk with Expedia. I called Expedia support that night and waited on hold for over 25 minutes while Expedia support talked with the hotel staff. At minute 25 (or so) I could suddenly hear the front desk clerk talking with a customer and telling them they had one room left at $310. WHAT! They said no, but I couldn't believe this hotel takes advantage of people so much. Around 10pm a family checked in the room above me and the floors must be 2" thick because it sounded like they were about to come through. Once they settled down I started to sleep, but was woken up around 11pm by my next door neighbors. It was a mother and daughter and they might as well have been in the room with me. There is NO sound insulation in this place. In the morning I could hear them complaining to the manager/owner that the shower was broken. I offered my shower since I was done and leaving. Anyway, I never did get a refund and Expedia gave up. I won't. This hotel will give me my money back. This is the second worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Please do not stay here. Sleep in your car instead, you'll be much happier.

Crappy hotel

Posted 11-Aug-2015
The front desk clerk was courteous. This hotel needs to be checked out by the health inspector & shut down until everything is fixed & clean. Pool not working, dirty sheets, dirt & hair everywhere. I would like a refund.

Avoid this Hotel

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: Location on the way from Vancouver to Calgary
Cons: People want a simple clean room...get to the point where the room is clean and the washroom drains drain
The rooms were dirty, the dain in the shower didn't work, we had to request for the sheets to be changed because there were hairs on them. Simply disgusting at any price. I shoould have slept in my car.

Close To Highway

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Pros: Close proximity to hwy, gas stations and restaurant for breakfast.
Location: Whitewater rafting on the Kicking Horse River with Alpine Rafting Tours is 2 mins from hotel. Had a great afternoon rafting.
We arrived late at night while travelling along Trans Canada Hwy. Room was comfortable. Newer furniture in our room, looked liked it was from Ikea We were back on the road early so we weren't there a long time. It served our purpose.

Ok hotel but under construction

Posted 03-Jul-2015
Pros: Joe and the fact that the hotel, although being close to the highway, was quiet.
Cons: Advise guests prior to visit that the site is currently under renovations. It was certainly NOT worth the "deal " that we got.
Our room had no dresser.I had to use the ironing board to lay open my suitcase. The base heater was not yet reattached to the wall because of the recent modifications. The jewel in our stay was Joe at the front desk. He did everything possible make our stay pleasant. Very polite and personable and knowledgeable.

I regret my reservation

Posted 06-Apr-2015 on Hotels
What a terrible experience. Check in went fine, however when I got to my room I immediately realized something was wrong. I had reserved a large bed suite, and paid for it, however when I got to my room it was a standard double bed. Now. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure on the computer they use they could have seen my reserved room when I checked in, AND the description of the room they were putting me in. Now I went back to complain, and a refund if the difference was offered. Explaination was given that "they are doing renovations anf do not have the room reserved availiable"... couldn't they have known that at Time of booking or at least check in?? They would have taken the extra 50 dollars, and not even said a word if I hadn't been diligent. Second, the room was in terrible shape... and this is AFTER renovation? Outlets not fitting the hole in the drywall, the shower head sprayed everywhere, holes in the blankets. The temperature control went from freezing to roasting. Nothing between. The decor? Ikea furniture mixed with a 1x4 trim. Not even sanded or stained. Looked like right off the lumber yard. Lastly. In the mining when I went to make a coffee from the maker in the room, I found 3 bags of decaf. No regular. Jut decaf. Terrible planning. No attention to any details. I will never reserve here again. I will pay the extra 10 bucks to stay anywhere else. Grade? Less than F.
