NOT CLEAN

Posted 03-Jan-2016
It was a Kitchenette and there was 1 fork 1 spoon 1 knife. The pans were NOT washed. The ice cube tray was dirty The top plate had bugs on it. The room was freezing cold -12 outside. We used the stove and oven to warm the room.

Beds are ridiculously high. There were no bedside lamps or pictures on the wall. The room was clean but uninviting.

Think twice

Posted 11-Sep-2015 on Hotels
It was the only place that we could find in that area. We went to Banff and all the hotels around Banff were full or it costs over $500 a night. We have no choice so we decided to stay in Golden for a night. This is a very old motel and most of the rooms were for CN workers. There is no free breakfast. We traveled in August and it was hot, so we want to get some ice from their ice machine, however, there was only one ice machine at this place and it was broken. So we took the ice bucket to the office to see if they have the ice machine in the office, unfortunately, there is no ice machine in the office. Alternatively, they have the travel size cooler with ice in it and the front counter person just used our bucket to get some ice out of their cooler. We don't know if it is clean to put it into our drink or not, so we just used the ice to cool our pop cans in our cooler. We spent over $140 for a night at this hotel, it was cost even more than Holiday Inn (with very good FREE deluxe hot breakfast) in Edmonton. Well, this is the only place to stay and what we can do???

The worst hotel I used to stay in

Posted 24-Aug-2015
Didn't plan to stay in this hotel after read other's review but Expedie gave it after a blind booking. Hotel was so dirty and cheap renovated, I don't know how can they have 3 stars. Very disappointed with it and Expedia, felt like Expedia was helping them to cheat the customer by their blind booking way. This hotel,no,should be motel, worth 30$ only but charge 120$. We even didn't take a shower there because of the dirty washroom and towel. If without the kids,I will choose to sleep in my car. It is the worst hotel I used to stay in north America.

Overpriced, Absolutely not recommended !!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 24-Aug-2015
Pros: Nothing !
Cons: 1) Rooms needs to be cleaned properly. 2) Bedding should be good and certainly needs improvement. 3) Absolute lack of cross ventilation is also bad.
Location: NA
The first thing that Hit me was the Pungent SMELL in my room, No ventilation, very bad experience for a NON SMOKER like me, Torn bedding, Go BURN your money if u wish to but do not stay here !
