It was clean for our overnight stay, but I likely would not stay long term here.

Hotel needs upgrade

Posted 04-Sep-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Staff friendliness and room size
Cons: Upgrade furnishings. Needs new refrigerator. Make sure no more mice.
Location: Canadian Rockies are spectacular. Many good places each within a day trip.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided good advice on tourism and activities. Room was large and equiped with essentials. Refrigerator door did not close adequately resulting in much ice on shelves. We had a mouse in room. Staff offered to move us to a different room, but we elected the offer a of mouse trap. We were able to trap the mouse and remove it. One chair had a broken arm. Wi-fi worked well.

Wonderful one night-stay

Posted 17-Aug-2016
We drove to Golden to stay there over night while visiting Banff Nationalpark during the high season in August. The hotel was more than we expected. It had newly renovated rooms and cozy beds and we had a wonderful and quiet stay there.

Not a good view

Posted 16-Aug-2016
I have slept in alot of old hotels and never been in one sooo dusty and the mirror in the bathroom was really dirty. The roof above the tub/shower was loose and dirt and insulation was falling out directly above the shower. It was all over the tub, so I Cleaned it out and went for Supper. When I returned it was covered again. I assume the people above us, when walking probably knocked it down. Not their fault. But I was not going to risk a shower and have it come down on my head. I would have moved hotels if I hadn't been so tired. I could not get any wifi , the front desk said there was a card in the room with The info on it. I searched and did not find it. I called the front desk 3 times with no answer/ reply. The beds were clean and compfortable. I am not fussy, I prefer the $50.00 /80.00 dollar hotels. All I care about is a shower and bed . This is definitely not even a $50.00 hotel. Staff was not friendly or helpful. KAREN

After all the negative reviews we saw, we were kinda scared but once we were there we were shocked to find it in good condition clean, beds were nice. I like the fact that it has flooring in there other than carpet as carpet gets petty dirty and cant see al the good stuff spilt on it. The front desk was very obliging let us get in to our rooms early. You can always find something to complain about no matter where you stay but we were pleased with it. When on a trip you are there to go out not live in the place so we would stay there again, for the price was reasonable for sure,
