Our kids even said it was the best vacation. A few things to note - what is posted online in the listing is not accurate. There is no dishwasher, if I had known that I would have brought paper plates! The checkout time online is 11 am but crossed out in the book at the house and is actually 10 am. The BEACH IS CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - that information should be included in the listing of the house. Bring a small fan - the loft space gets very hot and only one window has a screen and there is no fan up there. The owner was very kind and responsive to our texts. However, there were two major issues while we were there and he did not provided any viable solutions. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working, we had to throw food away and move what we could save to coolers which meant buying multiple bags of ice. Dana was apologetic and I understand completely that he could not find a repair man during the season - but he did not offer a solution. He could have offed to buy us ice, use of another cooler etc. The septic tank backed up as well - there was raw sewage coming from under the toilet in the bathroom and there was a large puddle of it in the backyard. Dana again was apologetic but it negatively impacted our vacation and he did not offer any money back for the inconvenience of both issues. We are unsure if we will be back.
