Good spot. Room was confusing to find but that could be just me. Pool facilities were wonderful. We did have to evacuate at midnight do to someone having a shower with the doors closed which triggered the fire alarm? Not sure if this is a regular occurrence.

Seems to be a struggling hotel. Double bed was two singles pushed together. and not comfortable Heater in bathroom and hall were permanently on despite hot weather. General decor is tired and reception staff not very engaging although they send too many messages through Expedia. The fire alarm going off repeatedly after midnight was not good. The restaurant was entirely respectable with good service and decent food. Not that busy even in July. The gym and pool are good too.

The food was lovely. Mac and cheese meal was well presented as was the burger and fries. The beef burger was very good quality. These items were ordered from the children’s menu. Portion sizes were very generous. The breakfast choices were good too. Small cafe shops nearby for alternative breakfast fare as well as a local supermarket. Car parking is very good.
