"Staff are fantastic Main part of the hotel, bar etc are clean and modern. Note the bar closes at 9.30 Room was very cold and dated cosmetically Clean bedding and comfortable beds and towels clean and good quality tho. Main issue we found ( 2 people in 2 seperate rooms booked ) The shower / hot water system needs a major overhaul urgently. Bathroom sink taps bearly worked. Mixer shower was also at best adequate I would class this as a trucker / work person hotel."

"Clean room, underwhelming small breakfast however staff were lovely. Very basic food at the linden tree restaurant, ordered buttermilk chicken bao buns but it was grilled chicken not buttermilk and was overcooked. Steak was also overcooked but staff did change the steak for me. Nice hotel, couldn’t fault the staff but food was not great. "

"The Tempus is such a beautiful hotel. Each room is magnificently decorated, and has a sense of luxury and elegance. The bar and breakfast are ideal and, again, beautifully designed. "We stayed here around 8 years ago and when we decided to visit Alnmouth again we had no hesitation in booking here again. The hotel is modern, well decorated and the rooms very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the fact that dogs stay free was a great bonus. Best of all were the staff, friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again. Parking may be an issue but we managed to find on a free on street space each day. "
