Me and my friend at first just want to spend a night in a traditional Japanese Ryokan(旅館). Then we came across this one in hotels.com and immediately in love with it. I drove there all the way from Kyoto, with a stopover in Hikone along the Biwako Sazanami street. It was a really relaxing drive. The hotel offers a very nice Kaiseki dinner and breakfast inside a private room. It also has an outdoor Onsen for the visitors. Unluckily, it was raining in the next morning and we couldn't go to the Yoro waterfall. I really would love to stay in here again next time. P.S., I couldn't reply to the hotel's messages because I was driving and didn't check my email. Beautiful rooms with a fabulous view of Yoro and the valley. The food is some of the best I have had in Japan. The service also incredible. A five minute walk to gorgeous waterfalls and forest temple. And right on the trail to the Mt. Yoro hike. Spectacular.
