The lodge itself was clean, cute and well maintained. The mattresses were hard as a rock though. The staff when checking in was very uncertain about everything. She was unable to answer questions about how to get to the road which lead to all of the rooms and didn't know there were steps outside of the building. The checkout staff was just rude. But overall it was good.
Enjoyed our stay while touring Gettysburg. Helpful registration staff and spacious, comfortable rooms including a kitchen and living room. We had an opportunity to be at the restaurant for Steak Wednesday. We had a delicious, tender filet mignon. Kudos to the chef! Overall, loved it!
This is such a peaceful stay. The property is well kept, beautiful and private. The lodges are so nice and comfy. Only complaint is parking. Not enough for everyone to get a space in front of the lodge they are staying in. The person staying in a lodge by us parked right in the middle of the spaces leaving no room for anyone else! We had to park in overflow and walk to the lodge we were staying in. VERY INCONVENIENT.
The Lodges at Gettysburg are wonderful. My husband and I stayed three nights. We were able to take morning walks around the property and dined at the restaurant one evening. It's so peaceful and in such a beautiful setting. Our cabin was so, so nice. We really enjoyed sitting on our patio and taking in the view in the mornings and evenings. I highly recommend this little oasis. And, it's close to all the battlefields and downtown Gettysburg too.
We had an amazing stay at the lodge. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved having the little private deck to sit out on. The staff at check in and at the tavern (especially Regina) were super friendly. I would 100% recommend.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Gettysburg that is quiet, scenic, and away from the busy downtown, this is it. We stayed here for a weekend and completely fell in love with the property.
The lodges are super cozy, clean, and private, complete with a fireplace and a porch with rocking chairs, perfect for morning coffee while looking out over the trees. It’s set on a gorgeous piece of land. the whole vibe is just so relaxing.
It’s just a short drive into town to see the sights or grab dinner, but it feels worlds away in the best way possible.
Highly recommend whether you're touring the history, attending an event, or just want a peaceful weekend escape. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved our lodge! We stayed in the Michigan lodge which had an amazing 4 post bed. The matching furnishings were perfect! We didn’t eat at the restaurant because it was closed Monday and Tuesday. Downtown there are enough restaurants to choose from with excellent food. Overall our trip to Gettysburg was excellent!
The suite was very clean and spacious. The towels were fluffy and large! Bedding and pillows were nice and extra bedding was available for the pullout sofa bed.
We did not use the coffee maker because the only creamer available was the powdered stuff.
Would definitely stay here again!
We were a bit nervous about choosing to stay somewhere we weren’t familiar with because of some experiences we’ve had in the past but we were very pleased when we arrived. The property was beautifully maintained, clean and nicely planned out. Our accommodation was more than we expected. Everything was very neat, clean, quiet and laid out for the comfort of the guests. We felt “at home” and completely enjoyed our stay.
We stayed there for a convention and wanted the quiet privacy outside of the tourism district. It was SO quiet I had to turn on white noise to sleep. The "cabin" was very well appointed, super comfortable. And we ate twice in the restaurant, which was FANTASTIC, and we're snobby foodies to be honest. The waitress we had was amazing, and a little bit sassy, which we loved. Lovely woman with dark hair and beautiful tattoos.
We didn't have housekeeping for the 3 nights we were there, but we didn't really need it? There were plenty of towels, dishes, and the option to have the trash removed each day.
The only negative, and I'm really pushing to even think of a negative - I think that the rather young lady at the front desk was overworked and maybe a little frazzled, because she looked like and acted like she was having a terrible weekend. But considering how many people were there that weekend, and me personally having grown up in Biglerville, I totally get that. Give that lady a raise!
A wonderful place for a couple to stay away from the noise. And the sunsets were A-MAZING. We'll be back next year for the annual Toy Expo!
