Great weekend stay in Gettysburg
The property was wonderful! Clean and everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere. Our host met us when we arrived and shared the history of the house and answered all our questions. We will stay here again when we come back.

Very Nice Accommodations
It's pretty cool to stay in a historic house right in Gettysburg, and the modern touches inside made it very comfortable. For 3 adults and 2 teens, it served us well, and was clean and tidy. It's a great location, a few blocks north to the center of town, a few blocks to the National Cemetery. I went there 3 times, to honor my fallen Minnesota heroes who gave all. One area that was lacking relative to other VRBOs I've stayed at was the kitchen. The cookware was minimal, and spices virtually non-existent. There was a pair of shakers for salt and pepper, but both had pepper. When I'm on vacation I love to grill dinner for the family, and the gas grill was pretty weak tea. On check in I asked the host if there was charcoal, and he quickly ran and got a new bag, which was very helpful. I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

We really enjoyed our stay in Gettsyburg. It was nice to come back from the battlefields to a clean comfy cozy apartment. We were delighted to see a dove hatch two eggs and watch her mother her new chicks every time we left for the day and come back in the evening.

Perfect & Great Hosts
Great location & apartment to stay at in downtown Gettysburg! Wonderful hosts! We stayed the end of April 2023 for three nights. Ron is a super nice host, a local who knows all about the town's history and where to go, what to see and easily accessible. The second floor apartment we stayed at was spacious, plenty of natural light, was clean, fully furnished, comfortable beds. The kitchen has a full size stove, oven and refrigerator. We parked our vehicle in the apartment's designated spot behind the house and didn't need to drive anywhere until we left. The apartment is centrally located to be able to walk anywhere downtown for tours, restaurants, shops, walking Cemetery Hill battlefield and getting the best ice cream at Mr. G's. Our dog had a great time too, it was a major plus bringing him on vacation. After a day of sightseeing, we could sit on the back deck to relax. This will be our only place to stay for future Gettysburg trips and will recommend it to family and friends.

My husband is retired military and a huge military war buff. We spent our anniversary walking the battlefields! The place we stayed was perfect. We walked to dinner each nice! Definitely in the heart of the action.

Marvelous apartment, great location!
We were looking for a place to stay in Gettysburg near the National Military Park and the battlefields. This apartment was perfect! Located only about a block from the edge of one of the battlefields and in Gettysburg's historic downtown, we could walk on the roads/trails of the battlefield as well as the streets of the town. Restaurants (and excellent ice cream) were nearby and it was less than a 5 minute drive to the park. The apartment is in a historic building that survived the battle back in 1863, and was just right for our small group. Everything was clean and comfortable, and provided all we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The hosts were attentive and not intrusive, very responsive and helpful, and great to talk with! We hope to stay there again when we return to Gettysburg!

Great location and easy parking. August 2022
This historic building accommodation is conveniently located in the historic section of Baltimore street. Easy walking distance to many sights and lots of eating choices. We were comfortable and enjoyed the easy access to everything. Things to note: it’s an old building with very steep stairs leading up the back of the house to the second floor, the air conditioner tries its best but is unable to cool all of the rooms. Living room was very comfortable temp but the bedrooms were warm as were the bathroom and kitchen. It was super hot outside so this may have impacted trying to cool the 2nd floor an old building. Host was super helpful and very friendly, allowing us to check in an hour early. We would recommend this spot if you’re looking for an economical, great choice for downtown Gettysburg.

Our family of four plus dog had a wonderful time this past weekend. The owners show so much care for the property and guests and it shines through. The property is older than the civil war and makes it a better Gettysburg experience than staying a regular hotel. We hope to be back soon

Right where you want to stay
This apartment was great for our family of 3 and our dog. We enjoyed the ability to walk to everything in downtown Gettysburg and this history of the building itself. Could've used a few more basic items in the kitchen, like a shaker of salt, but overall it met our needs. The two queen beds were very comfortable. The twin bed, was not bad but nowhere near as comfy. Had to meet with the owner to get keys to the unit which could be inconvenient if arriving at an odd time. But, his obvious pride in Gettysburg and the building was a nice start to our stay.

Amazing place to stay!
My family of 5 absolutely loved staying at this historic home. The location is perfect! Couldn’t have found a better place to stay. We walked to the museums and shops and enjoyed our stay very much! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We were on the 2nd floor so the stairs were a bit steep but we did well with them. We were able to park in the back off the main street. There are 4 ice cream places within walking distance! 😉 The owners are super sweet and kind! Definitely stay at their property! Loved Gettysburg! A must see area! So much history!

Great walkable spot for downtown Gettysburg
I stayed in this apartment with my husband and my sister as part of a road trip. The apartment was a good size for our group, with two nicely sized bedrooms and full bath/kitchen. The location couldn't be beat; it was next to several restaurants and within walking distance of many more eateries and shops. Our ghost tour even started at a park a half a block away. The only negative thing I have to say is related to the current COVID pandemic; the host asked us to meet with him for us to receive the keys, when there was a lock box available. He did wear a mask, but I would have preferred a contactless entry due to the current situation. On that note, all of Gettysburg seems to not be overly concerned with social distancing. Masks were worn inside, but few wore them outside or socially distanced while wearing them. Of all the cities we visited in the Northeast area, this was the one we felt least safe in with regards to the pandemic. Otherwise, the city was a nice place to spend a couple nights, and the apartment was incredibly convenient for all our travels. Worth noting is that the steps are pretty steep up to the apartment - nothing major, but in case that is a consideration for you. Parking is available in the back of the property, and the noises of the city all but vanish after 10pm. We would love to go back after the pandemic and explore the battlefield and area more!

Our stay in this historic apartment (Lincoln walked by on his way to give his Gettysburg address.) was a perfect fit. Two very comfortable beds, everything was clean with nice touches of coffee provided along with other basics. The washer and dryer was useful too. Best of all was the location. Easy walks to battlefield and Cemetery Hill. Hosts were helpful and available whenever needed.

Centrally located to downtown and all attractions/Dog friendly
This was our third visit to Gettysburg this year and wished to stay close to downtown. We also anticipated bringing our Bernese Mtn dog for first time so finding a dog friendly location was essential. Although we ultimately decided not to bring the dog we enjoyed this property. The owner met us to open the apt located on the second floor of the building and explained where everything could be found and if we needed anything further. Our party of three adults found the apt very functional, not large but plenty of room to move around. The staiway leading up to the apt. was alittle steep as might be expected given the age of the building. Everything was clean and well kept, the bathroom was small but up to date.This building faces Baltimore St with rear abutting the high school and an ally way where a parking space is supplied. Walking distance to many fine restaurants is either minutes or a short walk as is Kennys (grocery store) and a liquor store. Visiting in November was quieter on Baltimore St. with less vehicle and foot traffic but the battlefield was packed for our long weekend stay. Overall we were very satisfied with the property and would recommend it.
