The hotel itself was small, and the building older, and so the rooms and amenities were older. However, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the host and hostess were wonderful: very welcoming, warm, and friendly. There was also a common room with tables, a t.v., a microwave and small snacks and drinks for purchase. We enjoyed our stay but the wifi would kick us out every 30 minutes or so and we had to walk to the main area to get back in. The hotel was old and smelled like smoke. Overall it was ok. Booking 4 nights (19 to 23 September) at Hotel Bernhoef but the owner told me not accepting my reservation during my arrival. After deliberation, the first 2 nights became OK but the price of last 2 nights was incresed from 53 (origi nal booking price) to 70 Euro per night. Despite negotiation, the owner insisted the increase of price to 70 Euro. What I could do is to find another hotel and move out.
