With a magnificent view over Corp Bay and in a great position in the heart of Geelong this was a great stay. Staff were courteous and helpful and the buffet breakfast was a welcome start to the day.

Room was brand new, so definitely spotless. bedding and towels were soft and fluffy. The walk in shower was roomy and excellent. Staff were, generally, very good. When we checking on the Sunday, there was a long wait as I feel that Amber should have not been on her own. Other items was more toiletries in the bathroom. eg. shower caps, combs and spare toothbrush and toothpaste. Also special mention to the Sunday morning breakfast team. Breakfast was outstanding - the cooked offer were great especially the 'creamy' scrambled eggs (how scrambled eggs should be cooked) and the chicken sausages. However the breakfast staff were clearly new and less experienced and were not as attentive as expected in a 5 star hotel.

First room we were allocated had a terrible amonia smell. After calling reception we were moved very quickly to another room which was greatly appreciated. This room however didnt have a working bathroom fan. One big recommendation is to pack your pillow. The pillows in the room were terrible.

No alcohol in the room and was not able to get any cocktails delivered to the room. $40 each for a buffet breakfast felt expensive Valet was a bit annoying because there was no parks out the front to actually park our car for the valet to pick up Everything was prettt good! Skyline bar was great!

The reason why they lost a star is because of 1 staff member. She told us our room was not ready and she will call us when it was ready. So we went for a walk. But the call never came. Our room was ready & we did not know till after we tried to check in again. Otherwise the restaurant (food & staff), the pool & other amenities were excellent. Everything i would expect from the Crowne.
