The location and space was great, we had a great time with the whole family there. Six adults and two 1year old babies. The friendly neighborhood bear(Freddy) was a fun treat to have around every night. Gave us the full Gatlinburg experience. Only things that would of made this place 5 stars for us was to have extra blankets to use in the living room. Enough outlets for everyone to use their recliners, one set of outlets for 4 recliners. And a better stocked kitchen- specifically a larger skillet and a spatula would of been nice to have.

This house was very spacious and exactly as listed. The check in and out process was very easy and the host was very responsive. The location of this house was amazing! Just a short walk to downtown where all the activities are. Definitely recommend this house for others looking to explore Gatlinburg.

Needs renovating

Overall, the property was very run down. It was located close to downtown Gatlinburg. However, it needs new furniture, had mold issues, a loud HVAC system, the dishwasher overheats and is a fire threat. Great location but poorly Maintained.

Take the good with the bad

The house was great for our purposes. The location could not have been better. The only issue we had was the yard was gone because of construction which left a muddy mess in front of the house and no place to walk the dogs. Over all the house was clean and had everything we needed.

Dog friendly, lots of space

Overall the property was great for our needs. Bedrooms spacious. Common area(s) very spacious. It is dated and bathrooms are small w little to no counter space. Neither of these made me or my group lose any sleep. It is walkable to downtown but if you are walking back to the cabin at night-no sidewalks or lighting and you have to walk on the road. We walked both days, even so far as to walk all the way to the anakeesta lifts. The owners were very upfront about the construction around the cabin so I have no complaints there. Owners very easy and quick to communicate with. The back deck and hot tub was lovely.

Great Location, home left a lot to be desired

We loved the location and proximity to Gatlinburg. As in the listing description, you do get Dollywood tickets, but it is only for one ticket, per attraction per day. Still a nice 82 savings but a little misleading. Home was adequate and fit our needs for a group of 7 looking for a decently priced place near Gatlinburg. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There was visible mold on the living room ceiling and exposed wires in one of the bedrooms, huge safety hazard. Furniture was old, trim pieces missing everywhere, just not super well kept. Was it fine for a few days, sure. Would I rent there again, definitely not.

Fall break escape

We loved the location and the house was spacious with everything we needed. The actual setup of the home was a little confusing when it came time to figure out sleeping arrangements for everyone. The bedroom that actually has an attached bathroom is not the bedroom i would actually call the master. But that was honestly my biggest complaint and was easily solved. We loved the location, saw a couple bears, could see the tram go overhead, it was very nice. Yes, there is still construction, but it did not cause me any personal discomfort. We would absolutely stay here again.

Make Sure Construction is Over

House is very spacious and hot tub is great. Was very clean. However, it is in the middle of a construction zone literally. Most people could also not walk to town from the location. VERY UNSAFE for Children. We were contacted before and during the stay which was appreciated but even trying to leave the construction workers had blocked the road.

we had to contact vrbo support to get the get the access code because the host did not respond after hours of asking. Upon arrival, the house was clean, after checking the house we noticed several windows weren’t locked, and privacy is very limited considering all blinds and curtains had either been taken down or cut, which left us feeling unsafe. Overall the stay was good considering the house was clean and we were given all supplies we would need, plus the hot tub and outside area was well kept.

Has potential but needs some love.

It is walking distance but it’s on quite a hill. The pool table is honestly a safety hazard & propped up with an old paper plate. We didn’t even play on it bc it’s so unstable it was concerning. The fooseball table is about the same condition. Most players missing their head and one is black taped back to the pole. The ball return is broke and a piece of cardboard is taped under the table you can reach up inside to get the ball & propped up with a couple books…. The dishes were absolutely disgusting. The hot tub is lovely and seems clean but the hot tub area locks from the outside so anyone can come in from the road if they want & the fence is kind of falling off on the other side. The extension cord for the hot tub are lights is falling apart & random switch plates left unwired. The cleaning is also unimpressive … none of our party has long grey hair but our floors certainly did. The furnace sounds like a jet engine but it was loud enough to drown out the living room noise into the bedroom since there’s a big opening at the top of the wall between the rooms. Beds were very comfortable tho & I’m a loud white noise person so I slept well. The fire places are also both welded shut, curtains are missing & smoke detectors are missing.

Nice Property But Poor Customer Service and Communication From Host

Poor customer service and communication from this host. Inaccurate property description. The house we rented was spacious and clean and close to downtown Gatlinburg. However, the listing stated the house had 2 fireplaces which was a main reason we chose to book it. Upon our arrival, we discovered both fireplaces were welded shut. I sent a message to the host. He didn't reply. I contacted VRBO who was able to get in touch with the host. The host then got back to me, stating, "we will not be opening the fireplace and allowing use as it is against local ordinance for Gatlinburg Fire Code." That is false, as we own two properties in the city with operable wood burning fireplaces and have stayed in several other properties in the city with gas and wood burning fireplaces and outdoor fire pits. The host then updated the listing to reflect the fireplaces are not operable, and offered to let us use a fireplace in a lobby of a lodge they own across the street. At that point it was 6pm on the evening before we were leaving. He later apologized and offered us 20% off our next stay. That did not work for us as we own two of our own properties in the area and usually stay there. Nothing else was offered to make up for this issue. I sent a message back to the host and he did not reply. This is poor customer service and communication on the host's part. I will not stay in an Ayres owned vacation rental again.

We enjoyed the cabin and the Timber bar on the property. The staff was friendly and attentive.The cabin could use some updates and a little TLC. But, overall it was very spacious, had more than enough amenities to satisfy us. It is close enough to Gatlinburg to walk, approximately a quarter-mile walk. The walk back after dark was not well lit, but the flashlight on our phones was enough. We will definitely stay here again!
