The cabin was perfect for what we needed which was 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The location was also perfect it was between both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg very easy to get to both towns. The house needs a little TLC.
There was a problem at the Fish House and we were notified immediately prior to check in. Bill at Ayers Property management notified us and put us in the Lodge House in Seveirville. Absolutely gorgeous place. It was an Air Force reunion for guys all over 75 yrs and their wives.
Bill went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and pleased with the alternative lasting. I recommend Ayers Properties in the Tennessee mountains to anyone wanting a pleasant vacation. Thank you Ayers and thank you, Bill.
This farmhouse-style cabin has quaint appeal. It's not your typical vacation rental. With its spacious screened front porch and its heavy and solid wooden furniture throughout, it invites you back to a quieter, slower time. The location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is ideal, and the wooded setting is scenic and peaceful. Our grandkids enjoyed exploring the lovely creek that runs by it.The kitchen/dining area is large and well-lit. However, other areas would benefit from more modern lighting (and some of the light switches are in unexpected places). The bathroom situation is rather quirky. Four bedrooms have attached baths, and two more share a split-bath in the hall, consisting of one room with shower and sink and a separate non-connecting room with a toilet. A large, open sunken shower in one of the baths could pose challenges for the elderly, small children, or those with mobility issues. One bathroom door wouldn't lock, and in the same bath a shower knob came off in the hand.We found the Ayres Group very helpful. However, little operational information was available initially (procedures for trash pick-up, clear instructions for operating the TV, etc.).A few practical improvements could make the Fish House a memorable part of a vacation in the mountains.

Everything was great. Only issues were a few light fixtures were not working.
The porch is the clear winner of this property, the view is stunning. We sat on the porch every night, enjoying the beautiful weather and peace. We even had a bear visit one evening, he just strolled by, looked at us and carried on his way.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fish House! Traveling with my parents, siblings, and their families, we had a variety of ages and multiple family groups. The property accommodated our group well, and the stream proved to be a big hit with the fly fishers in the family!
This was a memorable location with great surroundings. Managers were quick to respond to all inquiries and provide help when needed. The home was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Surrounded by a natural setting with the constant sound of Norton Creek, this was one of our favorite family spots. I would highly recommend this location!
I absolutely loved this cabin! The location was great and it was so spacious, my favorite part about it is the huge screened in porch and the creek running along beside it! We actually got it approved by the owner to get married there! We will definitely be back! The host responds back quickly and are easy to work with! 5 stars all the way around!
Though Fish House has seen an abundance of seasons, it’s very comfortable and conveniently located to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the trolley. We’re a family group of 11 (ages 2 to 72), and Fish House provided plenty of space, bathrooms and ample hot water. Extremely friendly and helpful staff when we had any questions or needed assistance. Hope to return next year.
We really enjoyed our stay, house was very spacious, property was beautiful! The only disappointment was the quality of the beds & bedding. The furniture was worn, but passable. But we still enjoyed ourselves & had an amazing time!
We have family all over North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana we all met here for a wonderful week, the house is rustic and everyone loved it. We had coffee every morning on the porch and it was so nice and peaceful, the kids loved the creek and the yard area.. Everyone loved their rooms and there was plenty of room in the kitchen and the living room. We cooked and visited and walked around it was a very memorable family vacation
Simple, rustic, peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Even on hot days, with all of the tree cover the porch with its ceiling fans was a great place to unplug and relax.
Ayres property managers were wonderful to work with... pleasant and responsive. My family is already talking about coming back.
The fish house was perfect for my family. We were trying to get the whole family together and they were able to accommodate all 11 of us plus two medium dogs. We didn't feel crowded at all, the children and dogs loved the outdoor property and the teenagers loved walking and exploring the area. Communication with the host was amazing. it snowed during our stay and she called to reassure us that the roads would be cleared around the house. We would recommend 100% and look foward to staying again.
This house has large enough spaces for family to spend time together and kids to run around. The stream out front was full of trout and was a great fishing hole. The house is full of character and charm and beds and baths. Only concern was the side door that needs to have a better latch or handle. (& warning- the front bedroom nearest to the carport is much hotter than the others)
We are an extended family of 12 , 5 children and 7 adults. The children loved the creek! They caught crawdads and the adults had fun too! It was close to the Smokies and Gatlinburg.
Our only complaint is that the kitchen which was very nice did not have enough forks and cups for the number of people it sleeps. We went out and bought plastic forks and paper cups and bowls.
We loved the location, the charm of the fish house. Only complaint is a lack of water pressure. If only one person is showering at a time you are good to go. We had a large family and when everyone is trying to get showered at the same time the water pressure is very low. Other than that the place was great.
We enjoyed our stay at Norton Creek Fish House. The stream right outside provided a relaxing sound/atmosphere. The cabin is an old, authenticate cabin and has history and character. It shows its age and could use some upgrades but we found it to be clean and my family truly enjoyed the cabin. I would definitely suggest new mattresses/beds as they were uncomfortable and made it hard to get a decent rest. The location was perfect, right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and there was not a lot of traffic which was nice. Thank you for allowing us the use of your cabin so our family could enjoy a little relaxing time together away from the stresses of our normal day to day lives!
