Bear Creek Haven is one of the most delightful cottages in the Smokies- it is only half a mile from the main strip of downtown Gatlinburg and less than 2 miles to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park! Built in the 1930s, Bear Creek Haven is an enchanting, pet friendly one-bedroom cottage located right on a beautiful creek with a screened in porch, a relaxing hot tub, and charm around every corner. Make yourself a cup of coffee, cozy up in a rocking chair on the screened-in porch, enjoy the sounds of the creek and the Smoky Mountain air, and don’t forget to keep your eyes out for bears that like to roam around the creek and courtyard! The rugs smelled like urine and my dogs got fleas while we were there also .. And no one warned us of the BEARS before we got there!!! The neighbor who lives near that home he came and told us to beware of the bears !!! My husband was getting groceries out of truck and turned to shut truck door and there were 2 cubs less than. 10 feet from him!!! We had our 2 small dogs with us and every time we left our house or took dogs out we had to throw fire crackers first to scare anything out in our yard before we came outside !!! The bears a mama and 2 cubs cane right up from the creek right behind the house and cane through front yard and they were 5 feet from our door!!!
