Hotel moyen

Very nice hotel

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Very nice hotel. Great modern bathroom and good shower. Loved the breakfast. Only downside is it's not walkable to Galway city center. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will get you to eyre square in 15ish minutes so it is still convenient.

Great hotel

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: The location being close to the N6 very handy indeed
Cons: If it had a jaccuzzi in the leisure complex
On arrival check in was quick as we were early this wasn't a problem our room was ready so the check in was complete. The staff in the hotel were very helpful at all times, the room was clean and spacious as 3 people were staying in it. Breakfast time was busy as the hotel was fully booked once again the staff helpful at all times making sure you didn't have to wait if you wanted anything else. Would I stay in this hotel again if I was visiting Galway in the near future wouldn't have to think twice about that. Thank you for a lovely break

Business rather than leisure

Posted 19-Jul-2015
Pros: Clean, pleasant staff and good food.
Cons: Extra glazing on the windows. Sound proofing etc.
Location: Bus stop outside so it is handy in this respect otherwise quite a distance from the city centre.
Although I cannot fault the staff nor the cleanliness I am afraid the hotel is more geared towards business than leisure. The majority of the hotel is within earshot of the dual carriageway outside. Difficult to sleep with so much traffic.

poor location. Public transport unreliable

Posted 12-Jul-2015
Pros: all services provided by hotel were adequate.
Cons: buffet breakfast could include better selection. Only scrambled eggs available and no mushrooms or tomatoes.
Location: Poor location and less than adequate public transport.
25 minutes from town centre by bus. Main issue is drivers do not stick to timetable and there is 1 hour between buses after 7:00pm. Hotel itself provides value for money considering it's average location.

Comfort in Galway

Having spent 10 days travelling the west of Ireland . The Clayton offered a nice place for an over night stay. Good food. Nice room. Nice place.
