Hotel Lost in Time With Bad Maintenance
Our first room (which was supposed to be a Deluxe room) looked like a room costing 1/4 as much. It was very small, with old furnishings, that didn't work for us at all. We finally paid to upgrade to a suite, which was huge, but again didn't work very well for staying in very long. The curtains were off their hooks on both ends, which meant we couldn't get them closed enough to block out all the light. The balcony had cables running everywhere and no furniture. The furnishings and design looked like something from the 70s. The lamps by the bed were Swedish with their own type of plug, meaning my wife had to run her CPAP machine with its cord extended all the way from the desk in the center of the room. It barely reached. The hotel staff tried to find an adapter, and we tried one but it didn't work. In the restaurant, the service was slow, the waitress never checked on us, and the menu was very limited. They seemed to be very focused on tour bus traffic, not individuals. We stayed in several 4 star hotels during our 2 week trip, but this one wasn't on par with any of the others. There were many other things that a little hotel maintenance would have easily remedied, but I'm not going to take the time to list them all here. My suggestion is to stay somewhere else.
