Look no further than A Second Wind for your fun filled island getaway. Master bedroom offers a king sized bed, with private access to balcony. Master bathroom has soaking tub, separate shower, and double vanities. Second bedroom boasts gulf view and queen bed with en suite. The third bedroom accommodates 4 guests with two sets of twin over twin bunks. It also has convenient access to hall bathroom with tub shower combo. There is a designated work space if needed along with full sleeper sofa in nook facing a gulf view. Free wifi with HD cable and smart TV's are included in bedrooms and living room. Linens are provided as well as a full sized washer and dryer. A Second Wind has a spacious open floorpan with a large living and dining area. The dining table can seat 8 and there are 4 bar stools at the bars flocking the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware, along with a toaster, drip coffee pot, Keurig, blender, and stainless appliances. There are two private balconies: one facing the gulf and the other overlooking the bay. Enjoy hot coffee while watching the sunrise for a great beginning; and later, dine al fresco during the gorgeous sunset to wind down. Only steps away from kayaking, wade fishing, and crabbing, along with bike or golf cart trails, bird watching and a 7 minute walk to the beach. It's a nature lover's paradise. For even quicker beach access take a one minute drive to the Pointe West Beach Club with free parking near a dune walkover with a ramp for wagons and wheelchairs. Pointe West Beach Club is one of Galveston Island's favorite retreats. The 1000 acre property is located on the west end of the island. The Beach club is home to an infinity pool, large hot tub, kiddie pool, fitness center, game room, locker room with showers, gas and charcoal grills, cabanas and bicycles for rent, and more. A gift shop, restaurant and bar offering pool side service are available March through October. It's only steps away from over a mile of a groomed, private beach closed to vehicles. Pointe West also has miles of paved golf cart trails which are also fun for running, strolling, or cycling. There are tunnels connecting the bay side to the beach side on the trail. The club also hosts live entertainment during the summer on most Saturday evenings. Access to the beach is included, however use of pools, game room, fitness center, pickle ball, and basketball court require a wristband. The Property Owner's Association collects a wristband fee of $25.00 per person and is good for the duration of your stay. They must be purchased in advance. Ages 4 and under do not require a wristband. They can be picked up at the beach club during business hours (9-5 off season and 9-6 daily Memorial Day through Labor Day). Temporary wristbands to access gift shop and restaurant are available if needed. Parking is free however Parking passes are required by Pointe West. The bay side of Pointe West is home to a fabulous sunset pool and small lazy river with hot tub. There are charcoal grills along with a fire pit to make s'mores. Golf carts, kayaks, paddle boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and canopies are available to rent from local venders. The condo also has beach chairs for your use. The Strand, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Pleasure Pier, and other Galveston attractions are just over 30 minutes away. There is a small grocery store about 12 minutes away, however it is a good idea to pick up groceries on the way. Our recent stay at a bayfront condominium in Galveston, Texas was absolutely amazing! Tucked away from the busier beach crowds, this place gave us the perfect combination of tranquility, comfort, and scenic beauty.The condo itself was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated—truly felt like a home away from home. What made it unforgettable, though, was the view: every evening we sat on the balcony overlooking the bay. Being on the bay gave the whole trip a more peaceful, relaxing vibe. The unit was clean, comfortable, and came with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights was the private balcony with a beautiful view — perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets.The property amenities were great, especially the lazy river pool. It was a fun and relaxing way to spend time outside, and the additional features like the outdoor grills and corn hole games made it even better. The home was nicely furnished and had a great view of the bay. We played in the lazy river, the big pool, the beach and did a little fishing with the kids off the dock. Thankful to have the time together without traveling a long way. The condo was perfect for our family of 4 plus grandparents. It was clean, spacious and very cozy. The living room had enough seating for all of us, as well as the dining area. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. (Coffee pot takes grinds). The location was key for us. We frequent Galveston at least 5-10 times per year and pointe west is our summer choice. Beach access is so easy. It’s a 1 minute drive from the condo and we could even run home during our beach outings for a break. There’s a restaurant on site for food onsite or to go which was very good. We loved being bayside. The kids had fun in the lazy river and want to go back. This was a great slow paced vacation for us. Owner was awesome and accessible to answer questions. Lovely home! Love love love this condo. We will be back! ##### Annette B. Condo was very clean, up to date with everything you would need and more. Pointe west had great pools, fantastic beach (for Galveston) and gorgeous views on the bay side. While we where there the restaurant and bar where closed which kinda sucked because the places that delivered food where a long way away and food was cold by the time it was delivered. Plus they know they are offering a big service so it’s expensive to order out. We cooked most nights but that’s not exactly how we wanted to spend the vacation. With the restaurant being closed you had to bring your own drinks to the pool but even though the main pool wasn’t open you couldn’t bring in beer, or a mixed drink which we thought was strange. By doing this it seemed to push the majority of the people to the smaller Sunset Pool. The condo is great and point west is an amazing family spot right here in Texas. Don’t miss out \*one thing was the elevator smelled terrible the entire week. ##### Erich S. We have stayed in a lot of holiday rentals and this is one of the best--it truly has everything we needed. We really appreciated that there were beach chairs and toys plus a wagon for us to use. Plus plenty of dish washer and washing machine tabs, paper towels, plastic wrap for food and trash bags (some places can be really stingy with these items or don't provide them at all). Priscilla is wonderful--she responded immediately to any of my messages. I initially could not find the trash bags and Priscilla actually had a new package delivered the next day just to make sure we had enough. The beds were very comfortable and provided enough space for 2 couples, 3 kids and a grandparent. The views are outstanding from all sides. The kids loved fishing in the pond and going to the club house pool. We usually go to Port A every summer but the family loved our weekend so much that it looks like we'll be back in Galveston next summer! I don't have any negatives about the property. I would recommend that visitors make sure they have all the groceries they need as it's a pretty long drive to any stores (but this also means that the beaches in the area are less crowded). This Condo was exceptional. It worked out so well for my family of 7 ranging in age from 23 to 81\. It was very well stocked and was very clean. We only had one incident with the elevator that actually broke on the first night. They were able to get it fixed by the next morning. Overall I would definitely stay here again. ##### Joan R.
