Surrounded by a fenced-in yard, lush green grass, and tropical palm trees, you will love spending time on the lawn or soaking up the sun on the deck. With sleeping space for up to 12 people, a charcoal grill, an outdoor shower, and a quick walk or drive to Jamaica Beach, you’ll have everything you need for a stress-free family getaway. ● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1\. ● Location: Jamaica Beach community of Galveston, Texas ● Beach Access: Less than a 2 minute drive to the Jamaica Beach access point. Glass doors open out to the sun-drenched deck with views of the peaceful neighborhood. You’ll want to sip your coffee out here in the mornings or relax with a glass of wine while you wait for the burgers to be done for dinner. The sparkling kitchen is bright white with stainless steel appliances. An L-shaped tiered island has bar seating for four people and plenty of counter space for preparing meals and snacks. A classic subway tile backsplash, vintage-inspired pendant lights, and tons of cabinet storage make this kitchen into a streamlined yet stylish workspace. Just off the living area are two cheerful bedrooms. The first bedroom has a flexible mix of sleeping options— with a king-size bed and two twin-over-twin built-in bunk beds. The attached full bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom on this level is the master suite, complete with a king-size bed set against an antique headboard made from a 100-year old Galveston door. The ensuite master bathroom has a tub/shower combo. A convenient laundry nook is also attached to the master bedroom. A third bedroom on the ground level has two full-size beds. Gather the whole family together in the evenings to prepare some juicy burgers or a fresh catch on the charcoal grill for dinner. The ground level of Sandy Bottom also has a large octagon picnic table, tons of beach lounge chairs, and an outdoor shower. The fully fenced-in yard makes it safe and stress-free for families with four-legged members or small children. When your crew is ready to hit the sand, the Jamaica Beach access point is a quick walk or drive down the lane. And the excitement of the Galveston Strand and Pleasure Pier is never far from your door. ● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee. ● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Things that are beyond the structural that made us love it, which is that we could walk to the beach, have coffee in the morning on the porch, the view is beautiful, definitely pet friendly, they were able to run around downstairs while we spent time with the family, these are things that we value a lot, we will definitely be back next summer😊 ##### Laulasi C. The house needs a few things fixed up, but nothing that you can’t work around, (tub faucet, exterior lighting, railings loose, blinds) and if you have toddlers, there is no where for them to eat, no table and bar stools don’t work! (Ages from 74 - 1) The house listed that they had beach chairs which we didn’t find, but we made do! Hopefully they will work on the upkeep of the house! ##### Dolly K. We needed space and the house was perfect for our adult children and grandchildren. Perfect location, short walk to the beach, store nearby and only 8 min to the seawall. We definitely need to rent the house in the summer time. Wish check in wasn’t so late, 4 pm is not even a full day, but we made the best of it. We did have an issue with the bathroom, toilet leak so 8 adults and 2 kids had to use one bathroom, but other than that we loved the house, beautiful, clean and plenty of space in every room including kitchen and living room. ##### Sheila P. The owner was very responsive and the rates were great. We had 8 adults and one toddler. The house has plenty of beds but the top bunks are not sturdy enough for adults. Overall it was a great experience but there are some basic maintenance items that could be addressed: Disposal smells of dead fish as soon as you turn the water on. The lights flicker in the secondary bathroom when water is running. The ice maker leaks into the refrigerator and creates standing water on the food. Linens and pillows need to be replaced due to use The bathrooms need to be cleaned better ##### Marian M. The owners were great to work with and very responsive. The beds were good to sleep in, but one room was on the ground level and they are twin bunk beds. The fenced yard was nice too. The place has a nice family-TV area to entertain in and includes TV and other streaming hookups. The location was close to the beach and quiet. A couple of things to consider: The property was older than what you see online. It needed a deep clean. There was a cost to use the community pool. The deck needs some work (nails were sticking up on the floor boards and you need shoes to walk around.). The kitchen sink needs repair. Overall a fair price for the amenities and location. This area is hands down our favorite area to visit. Russell the management contact was phenomenal. He was super responsive and made the entire process streee-free. About the house, it is a super cute house in a great location. The pictures online are a bit deceiving. The interior is a little rundown but was overall clean. Our biggest issues was the couch. It had an awful smell and we sprayed it with Febreeze daily but it did not help. I know the home allows pets and you can expect pet smells but the couch could be replaced. Also, there is a picture on the listing of beach chairs and these do not come with the house, you can rent them though! There is also a picture of a table on the upstairs deck which was not there when we stayed. We had the best week and made awesome memories. ##### Tiffany S. All beds were unmade and towels were lying on the floor. The dishes were all over the counter and the trash was full. We cleaned up the house, swept, did a load of towels in the wash, piled all dirty blankets by the door, and waited (almost 2 hours) for the cleaners who came after we had notified the management that the house was not cleaned. Water faucets on the showers do not work properly, so the water is either super hot or ice cold. On the plus side, it’s really close to the beach. No amount of refund was offered for time lost nor the fact that we cleaned the place ourselves. Would definitely choose a property that is managed by someone else. ##### Cory A. Stayed 4 nights in Mar 2024 ### 6/10 Okay #### Maria P. 29 Jun 2024 Liked: Communication, location #### Dated and lots of mosquitos This property is in a convenient location because it’s a short ride across the street to the beach and the corner store has most things and there’s usually a food truck there. The rooms were large and the beds were big and there’s plenty of them. The couch was big too. However, everything is really dated. The bathrooms are tiny and the showers are difficult to operate because the knobs and hardware desperately need to be updated. It’s difficult to adjust the water temperature. We also have small children and they didn’t have a bath stopper to fill the tub so we had to use a washcloth to try to keep the water from draining for a bath. There are swarms of mosquitos - not even an exaggeration and we had to literally bring a small towel and swat around like crazy people and run and rush just to get into the car and still about a half dozen mosquitos would get into the car with us and we would have to kill all of them before we could pull out of the driveway. It’s the worst mosquito encounter I’ve ever had anywhere in Galveston or anywhere ever. When we would pull into the driveway, before we got out of the car you could see them all flying at the windows. We nicknamed this house the mosquito house. The light switches in the living room are a little frustrating because you can’t have the fan on without also having the lights on. And that was annoying at night. There’s also not a water dispenser so we bought bottled. It was generally “fine” but we would not stay here again. ##### Maria P.
