Our 19-day stay at the Southern Sun Rosebank was pleasant, with a late checkout on the 20th day due to a late flight. We occupied two rooms: a twin bedroom and a junior suite. To extend our stay until 6 pm, we paid half the daily rate of the junior suite. The twin room was quite small, and if we hadn't had the junior suite to relax in, our stay would have been uncomfortable. The junior suite, however, was spacious. Pros: - Reasonably priced dinner and room service - Clean rooms and excellent housekeeping - Varied breakfast options, including an omelette station and coffee station - Convenient location, with easy access to Rosebank mall and The Zone - Great spa services at reasonable prices - Friendly staff, particularly Tamera, reception, Jacob, Jichana Grill, and Dudu/Duou, breakfast. Cons: - Dated rooms with low ceilings - Food was often undercooked, despite requests for well-done - Room service orders were occasionally incorrect or delayed - Unfriendly manager and unsanitary breakfast policies - Small bathrooms in both rooms -Yvonne at breakfast

This is hands down the most incredible place we have stayed! Incredibly clean, beautiful in every way, their staff is above and beyond, the breakfast was scrumptious with so many meal options! We traveled in South Africa for two weeks and we felt the safest while staying here.

Excellent hotel with great restaurants, gym, pools (heated and non-heated) and spa. Service was fabulous and rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. Only negative would be that the shuttle service was very expensive compared to Uber.

This Hotel along with staff is top notch very well appointed rooms staff fantastic highly recommend

We had a very large canvas tent with multiple rooms and a thatched roof. The bed was very comfortable and netted to keep out flying critters.The front balcony overlooked a savanna type landscape where animal viewing is certainly possible, though we only saw them on our game drive. Very tasty buffet options were provided at dinner and breakfast. There are two game drives per day, with the morning drive shortly after sunrise.The game drive was surprisingly eventful as we saw 6 young lions behaving quite playfully, including climbing into a tree and pulling each other down.
