The decoration has been thought out in detail and combines cultural elements with the most sought after in a travel context: practicality, modernity and comfort. This property has capacity to accommodate 4 people. It offers a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with shower, a living room with sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, in open space. The bedroom and the living room give access to a balcony. The building has a common entrance to all the properties and is located in Rua Ivens, behind the Funchal Municipal Garden, one of the main arteries of the city. Wi-Fi available in all areas. No private parking available. Building with lift access. AREA Building located in Rua Ivens, behind the Municipal Garden of Funchal and 1 minute walk from the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. From this building you can get to know and visit on foot the main points of interest of the capital of Madeira Island. It is close to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Marina, Santa Catarina Park. In the city centre there is plenty of information about all sorts of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island! GETTING AROUND The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address. ACCESS TO PROPERTY You have access to all areas of the property. It’s central so you can stroll out in the evenings without worrying about driving anywhere. We were spoilt for choice of restaurants surrounding. An Island Apart were very quick and efficient in confirming our booking and professional and friendly for all communications prior to and during our stay. This is a self-check-in property and it was very easy with good and clear instructions. The apartment is spacious, modern and comfortable – it is at the back of the building so it is nice and quiet (no vehicles and very few people) and has all that most guests will need during a stay – even for those that decide to self-cater for some or all of their stay. Wifi was consistently fast and reliable. It was great to have a good size outdoor space – we had good weather so we ate outside most days. The apartment is in the perfect location in Funchal – good restaurants/cafes/bars are all around you, the seafront is only 2 minutes walk away and the bus station, the cable car station, main shopping streets and the Old Town are no more than 5-10 minutes leisurely walk. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 4/10 Poor #### Stocqueler v. 8 Oct 2022 #### Location fantastic but lacking the few extras for the price Fantastic location, but unfortunately had a few minor issues which would be easily sorted A dishwasher would be nice and better kitchen equipment The washer leaks, we only discovered this when I slipped in the water and fall. Outside sail awning was broken so when it flapped it knocked everything of the table and kept us awake banging bedroom window and gave no shade I did buy pegs and fix it temporarily No housekeeping and loo roll etc not replaced. Bed very uncomfortable could be bigger and sunk in middle and sides so you rolled together or fall out! Over grown garden next door with rats and lots of unpleasant insects coming into apartment from it. Cockroaches in shower! If two people showed the second shower would run out if hot water.
