"Wonderful stay! Housekeeping could stand to be more thorough"

"Liked - (1) Front desk kindly provided us two hot & tired cyclists with complementary snacks & water. (2) I don’t care about having a large room, but for those that do, this one scores high. Disliked - (1) You can’t walk to anything from the site, other than the sad nearby casino and its mediocre food. You’re isolated here unless with a car. (2) I had some desk work to do. This was challenging because the desk chair in the room was almost comically low (height non-adjustable) but the desk a bit higher than average. A very odd combo. It did not work for me (a quite tall guy struggling in a bizarrely low chair) and would not have worked for my tiny wife (who would have loved the chair but not have been able comfortably to reach the table top). So, not a good place to get work done. I asked the front desk if there were any other chairs available. He said, No; and made it clear he’d dealt with this request many times before. (3) breakfast was mediocre (though that’s not unusual for similar hotels)."

"Wonderful stay! Location was so close to all the action, we walked everywhere. Street parking for the unit but even with a super busy holiday weekend we had NO trouble getting a spot right by the place.It was very clean and newly renovated. Quiet, I only heard outside noise and the neighbors once. Odd layout but good use of the space and it is listed on the posting (walk through one bedroom to get to the other). Pillows and beds comfortably and extra bedding/blankets available. Lots of towels!Also affordable. Easy messaging in the app to the owner. We would stay again!"

"It was perfect, quaint, & cozy. A perfectly quiet little neighborhood with cute local shops just a couple blocks away. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils needed for cooking which is something we do a lot of when we vacation with our family."

"We have stayed in many rentals with our four children (now young adults) and this ranks right up there with the best. We stayed for the weekend to attend our sons graduation from the Augustine Institute. With some extended family joining us the four bedrooms were just what we needed. All the rooms are spacious and there are plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked as we hosted a meal for on Saturday night for some of the graduates. Plenty of room for everyone. And there is a home theater in the basement. We watched the Kentucky Derby and it was amazing. I wouldn't change anything. You can tell Kristi and Doug have put a lot of effort in making this feel like home and that is how we felt. Also, I communicated with them several times and responses were clear and timely. And to top it all off just one block from Main St. in St. Charles so you can't beat the location. We hope to be back soon!"

"We loved the house and location. The house was very clean and spacious. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone! It was great. The kitchen was fully stocked along with coffee and beds were comfortable! We will be back! "
