Great location a very short walk from the centre of the town. Very straightforward check in process that worked with no problems. Very clean rooms, and very friendly staff. The addition of the echt bodensee card was an excellent and unexpected bonus.

You need the frequent buses which will take you to Friedrichshafen at around 15 mph in the bus lanes. DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE INTO THE TOWN! You can not comfortably walk the 5km to the centre and you will find it hugely stressful to try and drive/park.

We booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had good reviews, however I have to admit when we arrived we were a little unsure as the outside looked a little downbeat especially as they were doing work on some of the rooms. However, we couldn't fault it, the man who checked us in was very friendly. We stayed for one night only. Very tidy, very friendly. Good underground car park and very modern rooms with excellent use of space and USB ports for charging leads. Very close to Friedrichshafen centre for restaurants and cafe's, etc as well as walls along the lake. Very ideal is the bus exchange just outside the hotel door - we were able to get a bus straight to the Messe to see the vintage car show. Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful, any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax you are required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. As a full time world traveller staying in many hotels around the world, this has everything! Excellent location, a couple of minutes from harbour and train station in the middle of old town. Stunning rooms with high quality fittings and decor, everything in the right place too, like plug sockets and mirrors. The breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, it is fabulous. Thank you for a lovely stay.
