This house has everything you need to enjoy a week or even just a couple of nights at the lake. The house is conveniently located on Marina road, with a large driveway big enough to accommodate your boat during your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cooking items, and has a electric stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The large countertop allows for plenty of room for prepping meals, or setting up your buffet. The living room has two couches, shuffleboard, and a 55” flat screen tv(no cable but you can always stream with your online account). And of course it wouldn’t be a trip to the lake without a camp fire at least one night, and the fire pit in the yard is the perfect spot for it. Close enough to clendening, salt fork, and tappan lake to stay here; and trailer your boat to a different lake each day. Piedmont has great fishing, and the marina rents pontoon boats, fishing boats, and kayaks. With a 10hp limit piedmont is enjoyable on a kayak, paddle board or, canoe since you don’t have to worry about large wakes. There are a few who bring out their sail boats, but it isn’t for beginners due to all the coves and turns changing wind directions. The fishing at piedmont is some of the best in the state, and holds the Musky record still. I enjoy cat fishing the most, and the kids love catching bluegill and saugeye. With fishing as good as it is, often you see the bald eagles and osprey doing the same. With the cabin being so close to Egypt Valley, it is a perfect choice for hunters also. There is even public hunting around the lake just a short walk down the road. Please note that we do not provide linens, so be sure to pack your own sheets, pillows, and towels. There are parts of the house that have obviously been updated, and parts that obviously haven't been yet. Perfect little house for hanging out at the lakes and visiting salt fork. Ideal for using the house as a home base for meals / sleeping. When we stayed, there was an issue where the water stopped working. However, if you could address the following for future customers: 1\. The water pressure was horrible, couldn’t showers because of the very poor water pressure it would’ve taken forever just to get shampoo out of hair. 2\. Loved the shuffleboard but uneven so if you played on the one side you always won. 3\. It made us all very uneasy to see the garage closed up the way that it was and the black tarp over the windows it gave it a very uneasy feeling for us while in the home along with the code/lock in bathroom. Can clearly see that the owners are working on updates and what has been done is very nice. The pictures were deceiving. It looks like the fire ring is on the lake which is not the case. The owners did have a nice starter fire ready in the fire ring in the front-side yard. The lake is a 5 min drive away. We were a bit disappointed by the misrepresentation.
