Beautiful, secluded log cabin, plenty of space. There were lots of things stocked in the kitchen for breakfast which we really loved! The wood was stocked for the fireplace. Loved it!!
This is a great place to stay. My wife and I came here for our 38th anniversary and couldn't be more pleased. We love nature and there were deer, squirrels, birds of all kinds and a group of turkeys right in the yard. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was just as described. Doug and Jen were great at communicating and left us snacks and breakfast items including local doughnuts. We enjoyed the fireplace and the quietness surrounding the property. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Doug and Jen for being wonderful hosts.
The cabin in every room had a good vibes family went hiking swimming and cookouts and s'more in the fire pit the old look was priceless and the whole cabin was surrounded by woods family just did not want to leave thank you for a wonderful stay
We enjoyed a couple days away at this lovely cabin. My son especially enjoyed the fishing and boats. Breakfast was much appreciated as well. We are hoping to return.
Quiet and peaceful. We spent time sitting on the front porch enjoying nature and in front of the fireplace reading. Great cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of the business of everyday life.
Went with sisters, all loved the quiet and the beautiful cabin. Everything was provided; breakfast makings, firewood for the firepit. We had some great sister time. We'll be back.
A could boyhood friends got together had a great stay hope to rent in the fall next year and use the front porch! Quite comfortable and uniquely furnished and decorated. Highly recommend

It's very quiet and very private. It feels just like home. The fireplace room is the best.
A great overall cabin experience. Very rustic feel with just enough modern amenities. Nice and quiet property far enough away from others. You’ll feel completely secluded here. And a few nice added touches and friendly helpful hosts make this a must-visit.
We loved the wood-burning fireplace, the well-equipped kitchen, and the lovely location! We were about a half hour from Berlin and Sugarcreek. Everything was extremely clean, and communication with the owners was fantastic, also - would highly recommend!
Doug and Jenn were wonderful hosts, and their cabin is stunning. It’s clean, spacious, and the property is beautiful. No light pollution, no neighbors making noise, it’s wonderful.
This cabin was exactly as advertised. Very spacious and so clean. There were eggs, muffins, OJ and milk in the kitchen, which was fully stocked with everything you might need to cook during your stay. The stairs to the bedrooms were a little steep and narrow for an older couple but otherwise perfect for our stay!

beautiful views, quiet, nature, clean, cabin was unique and very comfortable. had nearby fishing. the food, snacks and drinks were a delight. would recommend to anyone looking for a serene and comfortable place to stay and unwind from the world and technology
This was a fabulous stay near the heart of Amish Country that was convenient to several stops on our vacation. The property is very secluded and private and we loved the quiet evenings on the porch. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable time and they ensured we knew how to take full advantage of all that they had to offer. We absolutely loved it!
This is our second stay at the cabin. It's such a nice refreshing location and the view is perfection. The price is so reasonable for the location (which is so appreciated) and the hosts were so accommodating. We plan on coming back in the fall and making it a biannual visit. Thank you so much!
We loved this cabin! It was so beautiful in a serene setting, quiet and relaxing. The cabin was perfect and so many Artistic details, you’ll fall in love with this place!
The shopping and markets were about 20 min away , but the drive just added to all the charm.
I would highly recommend staying here!
Thanks Doug and Jenn for sharing this gem!
The pictures on the site are just a teaser. When we got there, it was amazing. The views from the front porch were so calming. The inside was just as amazing. The only problem was we had to leave. Will definitely stay here again and for a few more days. Thank you Doug and Jenn.
My wife and I love the Sugarcreek area, and chose The Lodge to spend a long Anniversary weekend. Such a great choice. The hosts Doug and Jen were the best. The Lodge was so peaceful and quiet. Loved the wood burning fireplace on cold late fall nights. If you love nature, a quiet and peaceful location, great Amish food and a fun shopping experience, this place is for you.
Very private, clean and beautifully decorated! Even left snacks, cereal and fruit on the counter for arrival with eggs, milk, muffins and juice in the refrigerator! Owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with online and in person. Can't say enough about this place! Just awesome!
Lovely rural area surrounded by mother nature. Plenty of games and hiking to keep busy. Hosts had scones, eggs, juice and milk for cereals already there, in addition to some snacks. The cabin was great, a bit warm upstairs for sleeping when it was over 90, but I just slept on the ample couch with no issues. If we head back that way we will definitely be back.
Everything was as promised and then some. This cabin is amazing, so warm and inviting. The muffins, eggs and orange juice were above and beyond.
If you want to simply relax and enjoy the outdoors this place is for you. I would definitely come back!
A little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.
Thanks Doug and Jennifer
