Nice and cozy beach bungalow with everything provided for a comfortable stay. Especially nice that it's pet friendly. The beach is a very short walk away and there's a great view from the side deck.We would definitely come back for another wonderful stay.

Great little house just a short walk from the beach. Based on a prior review, we took our own grill. It would be nice to have one. Also based on a prior review, we took our own drinking water. It is an island, so go prepared. It’s not too busy on this section of the beach compared to others. Our granddaughter appreciated the short walk to the beach. We did take our own beach cart, but there was one there. The neighbors were friendly and the area is quiet. Overall a great stay.

The house was perfect for my me and husband and two small dogs. We stayed two nights. The fenced yard was wonderful for them, complete with a fixed dispenser for dog poop bags! The a/c stayed nice and cold, even in the TX summer. The beach is so close! It was busy when we got there on Sunday night, but barely anyone there on Monday and Tuesday. Yay! And no jellyfish at all, even though August is supposed to be their peak month. Place was clean and cute, and suited our needs. It's not highly decorated, so think more simple stay than super nice getaway. We couldn't get the dishwasher to start upon leaving, but we texted Kev so that he knew we tried, and he said he'd have the cleaning people check it. Small things like the microwave not being able to open fully (too close to the refrigerator), dishwasher not starting, tub spout loose, and absence of washcloths are things that my detail eye noticed that brought it down from fancy place to nice, simple place. But the thing that knocked off a star was the water quality. It was stinky and slightly yellow-tinted. I'm sure water quality is hard to manage on the beach, and what comes into the house is what comes out in the faucets. But you definitely need to bring water bottles for drinking...and plenty of them if it's hot outside! Showering in it was still fine, and our dogs drank it until we got more bottled water. Upper deck is amazing! Know that the full-window door doesn't have blinds, so you're visible to neighbors walking past.

The place was exactly how it was represented on the listing. The ocean was an easy short walk. The balcony was a great place to just hangout with a nice breeze. The fenced in yard is great for people with dogs. I would stay here again.

The beach house was clean and comfortable. It is so close to the beach! The host was excellent at communicating and responding. The house is on a quiet street, and there is even a snack shop and restaurant close enough that we walked to them. The deck is a great spot to enjoy sunrise and sunset. We loved it!

Enjoyed the deck spaces so much, with high chairs in shade with great breeze to beat the July heat, and the comfortable, colorful bench to watch the sun rise. The yard was excellent for my dogs, so safe. Inside was spacious and well stocked. A thoughtful host was evident.

We had a wonderful time here on our first vacation as a family of three! We felt so comfortable in this space and really appreciated how accommodating the host was!Just steps from the beach, had everything we could need, and the fenced yard was wonderful for bringing our dog. We'd love to come back one day!

Was a last minute booking and needed pet friendly. Great location, my only negative would be It didn’t have a grill and the washer didn’t work. Other than that it had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again but will take a grill.

Relaxing stay right off the beach

Cute little beach house with a view of field of wildflowers and walkway leading to the beach! Very clean, had everything we needed. The house is so close to the beach you can see it from the porch! If you are picky about drinking water, bring it with you.

Love this sweet little house!

Wake up to coffee on the deck, seeing and hearing the surf. Very short walk to the beach. Cottage is comfy, cozy and well equipped. Host most helpful and available. We look forward to staying again.

4th of July

It was a great time in Surfside. Gilligan's Beach Hut was perfect for our needs. For the 4th we didn't have to fight the crowds for beach space because we could observe from afar. We could come and go as we pleased and had a perfect little retreat to come back to.
