About this property

Something to Write Home About @ The Wild West 40

  • Welcome to the Wild West 40. This cabin is 1 of 8 located on the Arizona Strip just 3 miles off the highway, yet away from it all. Majestic views of red and purple mountains. We are 100% off the grid with solar and a well. You’d never know it though as our cabins have everything from a stove top, microwave, fridge, hi sped internet, big screen TVs and video games. Feel free to make a camp fire in front or feed the animals out back. Grabs some fresh eggs 🍳 for breakfast!

    We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time .
    If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand.
    We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink sand dunes.

    We are not located in Fredonia, but 30 minutes north in a town called CaneBeds. We are 15 minutes away from Colorado City where there is a wonderful grocery store and a few restaurants.
    30 minutes from Fredonia and Kanab UT.
    We are about and hour to an hour and 1/2 from Zions, Lake Powell, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and St George.
