*A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed at the house but please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. Furthermore, there is an additional pet fee for each dog in your party. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.*

The perfect location, all on one floor and all king beds. This is Happy Days vacation rental in the heart of Fredericksburg's central business district. We are a stones throw from the famous Woerner Warehouse Cafe and European antiques, right by the Lincoln Street Wine Bar and around the corner from August E's fine dining. Being on Lincoln Street we are also just 2 blocks south on Lincoln from the main entrance to the renowned Nimitz National Museum of the Pacific War.

Located in the historic district, this 1957 era home has just been gutted and completely updated but carefully keeping its fun, funky 60s touches including mid-century modern wall art hearkening back to its original design. Browse through a year's worth of 1967 Life magazines bound in a fascinating single volume. The three large bedrooms have a distinctive touch, each featuring a king sized bed.

Games in the garage include a putting green and hand ball toss game. Free Electric Vehicle trickle charging on a 110 volt connection in the garage. Bring your own 110 volt car adapter.

Fun Thanksgiving

Perfect location

The location of this home is unbeatable. It is just over a block from Main St. We really enjoyed staying in this home. Very clean and well maintained. A few things to be aware of: there's a bar across the street. They had a live band every night until midnight. We sleep with fans so it didn't disturb us too much. It is on a somewhat busy road so the street noise can get a bit loud. Again, we had our fans so it didn't keep us awake. Those were really the only 2 "negatives". I recommend taking something to block out the noise at night because this home is worth staying in.

Five friends stayed at Happy Days to celebrate turning 60. The house was perfect & the location couldn’t have been better! The king beds were a HUGE plus. Short walk up to the center of Main Street where all the shops & restaurants are located. Highly recommend. Would also be perfect for 3 couples.

Great home with front porch and nice firepit in backyard a little over a block off of Main

Very nice home. 3 king bedrooms and 2 full baths with nice kitchen, living area, front porch, and back yard with a firepit. Great location close to everything in town. A little over a block south of the main action on Main street. Wine bar with live music diagonally across the street. Very clean and well maintained. Checking in was simple as was checking out.

Annual Get Together

This was our first time to stay at this home. It was quite lovely. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. There was a lot of room in the living/kitchen/dining area and welcome bottle of yummy wine for us. The front porch had comfortable furniture to sit on and enjoy the wine. The location was perfect with easy walking access to downtown, restaurants and bars.

Perfect place!

Our new favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg! Nice comfy house, and our kids loved the yard and games. We had a great stay and plan on returning! The house was stocked with everything we needed. The only thing we would have liked would have been a different way to check in and out. You have to drive to their office to pick up and then drop off the physical key to the house. But otherwise it was wonderful!

Happy Days Rental Property

Five girl friends visited last weekend. We loved the location.... close to our favorite places! The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were nice. The common space for us to get together and visit was nice, except for the furniture. The couch wasn't very comfortable, and a couple more softer side chairs would be great. If the furniture is changed, we would definitely stay there again.

Location is perfect

We have been coming to Fredericksburg for about 18 years, so we have stayed in many homes. Happy days is a contender for the top. The location could not be better. We have even stayed right on main street before and prefer this. You are about a two minute walk from Main Street but you have the benefit of a quieter street for noise. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. The backyard is beautiful. You could hear live music from the front porch. I almost want to keep this my secret 😉

Amazing stay.

Amazing stay! Happy Days house is a remarkable little gem located very close to Main Street. First and foremost, it was exceptionally clean. What a refreshing change these days from many hotels. Also, it was very comfortable and provided for a very relaxing stay. From the beds to the furniture inside and out, everything was to our standards. There was even a cold bottle of wine in the refrigerator for us. We are already booked for next year!!! I can also say that we were pleased with the local booking service, Guesthaus Schmidt. The office was very attentive and responsive. Last year, we used a national vacation service to book a home there and we said never again!!! We were left waiting outside in the Texas heat for one hour because the code to the house did not work. Thank you for a very wonderful experience!!!

Great Location But Okay Amenities & Comfort

The location of the house is wonderful. A block and half from Main and really close to bars with live music venues. While the house appears to have been recently renovated which is great and the fact that they allow pets and have fenced by yard is even better. The amenities of the house are lacking - -the kitchen had limited cookware, which made cooking a challenge. -the living room furniture (coach and chairs) were not comfortable and made staying in for Christmas uncomfortable -the mattresses were adequate (not uncomfortable but not comfortable) and when combined with the sheets that were very loose and would come loose at the corners. The pillows for the bed were very skinny and were not very comfortable. - the bedrooms lacked placed to place clothes or unpack, other than hanging items in the closet. There was one suitcase stool and for the other had to use the single hard plastic chair to hold it, so you were leaving your suitcase or bags on the floor. a dresser would have been nice. - the front windows did not latch properly, so a few of them were not locked/secured properly. Overall, the location and the condition of the house were great, but it comes up short on the amenities that make for renting a home worthwhile. I would be hard pressed to rent this one again for the price, because it was missing things to make it comfortable and enjoyable when staying in and trying to relax.
