Fossil World Dinosaur Museum

Had a short 1 night stay, 1st impression was the property was rough but after checking in the room was clean and sufficient just really outdated. Seemed overpriced but met our needs

Rooms were clean. Hot tub was available during our stay. 3 bedroom pictures on the Expedia/VRBO app listing are accurate. Washroom baseboards are showing their age maybe due to high moisture & heating in the winter. Only issue in our last night: TELUS WiFi service kept kicking us out. It switches from WiFi to 5G every few minutes. It probably is colder in the open concept living room & kitchen areas due to single(?) pane windows and also bedrooms have an "A" style high ceilings. All in all, we will give it a 5/5 ⭐️s!

Outdoor pool was the highlight and was amazing with the views and fire pits. Staff were very helpful and coffee was a nice touch. Our room location was right by stairs to exit out a side door and it was super noisy. Every time people exited it caused our door to rattle and we could hear everything they were saying. It woke us up a number of times. The bathroom also had a large window in it that felt very awkward and you had to close the blinds. The balcony was looking at a side street so view was mostly residential with a bit of mountain off to the side. I didn’t love the pillows and found them too large for my neck. I would probably book the Canoe next time with a balcony looking at the mountains and just walk over to use the pool. Hotel is quieter than some down the strip and easy to get to when you enter Banff. We used a combination of bus and walked back sometimes from the restaurants and shopping which was nice. I would not stay in that specific room again. Experience would probably have been better in another room.
