Go on a shopping spree and check out the wide range of stores in Forum Mittelrhein. Opened in 2012, the modern mall complex is a triumph of contemporary design. The mall has a sales area of 215,000 square feet (20,000 square meters) spread over three levels, with over 80 different shops to explore. Choose from well-known labels and local boutiques. Enter the mall and use the escalators to go between the three levels. Find international department stores and fashion outlets, as well as a range of local designers and up-and-coming labels. Pick up garments, cosmetics, perfume, jewelry and shoes. Visit the photography and electronics stores to find the latest gadgets or grab new gear at the sports stores. If you feel like refreshing your style, get a makeover at the mall’s hair stylist. Natural light floods into the mall via large skylights, which are decorated with bright colors. The mall’s food court is a highlight of the first floor and has a view of Central Square. Take a seat at one of the mall’s cafés and enjoy coffee or a leisurely meal at a restaurant. Relax for a moment to appreciate the mall’s innovative design, which earned it national acclaim for sustainability and energy efficiency. Walk through the spacious piazza that connects Forum Mittelrhein to Forum Confluentes, which is a landmark cultural hub in Koblenz. Find the Middle Rhine Museum, the Koblenz Romanticum Tourist Information Center and the city’s public library in this complex. Forum Mittelrhein is centrally located in Zentralplatz (Central Square). It is easy to reach via Koblenz’s city railway station and bus network. You can also park in the mall’s underground parking garage. The mall is open daily for free however, most shops are closed on Sundays. Koblenz’s historic district, the Altstadt, is a short walk north of the mall. Id definitely recommend if you want the peace away from the hustle and bustle of central Cologne.
