"The bed sheets were not clean. Covered in both human and dog hair. Room was freezing. Looks to be an old converted shed sitting in a concrete pad. It was 5 degrees outside and we had a constant draft through the doors, windows, and cold air emitting straight from the floor. The home is old, which is no issue. "Do not prepay if u have to check out early they will not refund you I booked 3 nights had to check out 1 night early went to do my check out at 9:15 am. Check out went fine till I ask for my refund. No refund. Cause I prepaid that a joke they should have been glad I prepaid them but I got no refund and the keep my money for 1 night that I wasn’t even there and re rented the room to someone else double pay for them. "Booked online when we got to the hotel the office was closed with a note on the door saying to ask for refund the property was under renovation but they gladly took my money and when I contacted the company they acted like they had no idea still waiting for my refund havent herd from the company in a week"

"I have a good report, the reasons that follow are why only 4 stars. We had a great time, but our reservation was for a king size bed, we got in our room and it was two queen size, not exactly a way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We also had a bit of a run around with our dogs. We were told yes, then was reading that we couldn't. We could, hence the need for a king bed. Although our visit was great this wasn't noticed till I checked out that the reservation was correct for the size bed. I thought I made a mistake, but I didn't. The only other issue I had, was that there wasn't some form of anti-skid mat or strips in the bath tub. My husband, while taking a shower slipped in the tub and hit his head. He is fine, but I believe shouldn't have happened."
"It was an overall positive experience. A nice area and not too far from I-65. No complications. A comfortable bed. Couch was a bit hard, but other than that, I would still recommend Horse Cave Motel."
"The pool area needed work. Its an indoor pool that needed the AC fixed. It was a sauna in there. Also the bottom of the pool looked like it had mildew on it."
"Excellent location. Just minutes from Mammoth National Park. We were able to go back and forth to take breaks easily. Super clean and has everything you need to make meals. Laundry on site was very helpful to clean our clothes after hiking, cave tours and kayaking. You have privacy yet you are located close to everything (fast food/Walmart, etc. 15 minutes away). "
