The Baymont was very clean with a very friendly and helpful staff. I especially like the fact that it was located north of the main part of town giving it an open non-congested feel. We would wake up, look out our window and see grass and trees not more concrete and business buildings. We had a very relaxed stay.

What is the miscellaneous charge on the final bill? Ok $4.17 / night won't break me, but I don't like the non-specific description for the charge. The hotel is older and retains the '80's atmosphere. It's very clean and welcoming.

Property was well kept. Room was spacious with small refrigerator and microwave. Room conditioning worked as expected. One drawback is no elevator to the second floor ( only two floors). This would have been a problem if no other rooms were available. Both my wife and I have bad knees and joints!!!! All in all a good place to stay!!!

There were 7 of us in the breakfast area with 4 biscuits and 4 eggs 4 sausage. No staff was around. The bath tub was very dirty and the drain was icky same thing with the sink. There was stuff in the fridge from last guest. But comfort was great.

The property itself is ok for the area, however it is entirely over priced!! The same room can be booked in Cookeville for less than half the price, with more to offer location wise. It was convenient due to my son living close but I'd rather drive the hour there for the cost, especially since I worked during the day. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I will say that unfortunately I won't be returning to this location due to the charges

Overall, the hotel was fine. Rooms were relatively clean. Building was a bit more dated than I expected. We were put in a nonsmoking room near a smoking section and could still smell smoke to some extent.There was also a weird smell in the lobby. Continental breakfast was also fairly subpar. Price was a little high but there isn't much competition in the area.
