Play with the dates for an option that fits :) Please note: This property is in a quiet residential community, and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule of 1 strike. Respect your neighbors, keep the noise down, and no parties. Welcome to Sand Castle! This impeccable 5BD/4.5 BA beach retreat can accommodate up to 12 guests and offers plenty of space for gatherings. This home has been well-maintained, updated, and stylishly decorated! Sand Castle includes three living areas. A sitting area to enjoy your company, a family room open to the kitchen with plush leather reclining couches, a 49" Roku HDTV with Xfinity, and an upstairs giant media/sports center complete with an 80" HDTV, a rotating game table for playing air hockey or pool and a basketball arcade game. A few blocks from the ocean and only four doors from Center Street, where most of the Island's restaurants and shops are located, this home's location is ideal! Additionally, it is only three doors down from the Lost Dog Cafe – the most popular place on Folly Beach to gather with locals and visitors for breakfast or lunch. There is also a gas station/convenience store located just a short walk away on Center Street downtown. Pool, "Beach" and Games The large saltwater pool will be the highlight of your stay (a walk-in shower and commode are nearby). The beautiful pool is adjacent to your private beach with white sand, a veranda, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy playing volleyball, badminton, cornhole, a ladder toss game, and Bocce Ball (all game sets are provided). Also, there is a ping pong table and a magnetic dart board game in the enclosed area under the house! The pool can be heated upon request for an additional fee of $40.00/day (added to your reservation after you place the booking). If not requested at the time of booking, this option must be requested and paid for at least two days in advance. Pool heating can only be requested for the entire length or remainder of your stay. If you would like to add this option, please note this when making your reservation or contact our office during office hours. \*\*Please note that the pool does not get higher than 75 degrees during the colder months from mid-December through February/mid-March. Also, the weather will affect the pool temperature, and very cold weather may keep the pool from reaching even 75 degrees. We cannot guarantee a specific temperature for any day of your stay. No refunds will be given, including if weather conditions prevent your use of the pool. The pool heater thermostat will be set to 82-84 degrees F. They made sure to go above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. The home is situated perfectly to downtown to walk to your favorite establishments. Our family loved this charming home! Very warm and inviting. We also appreciated the fact that it was accommodating to elderly family members having a lift chair and accessible wheelchair at the home. This house was perfect for our large group and the yard could not have been any better for the children. Big pool with lots of floats, volleyball, fire pit and close to all the restaurants and shops but also right there by the beach. We all loved it! The place was amazing and worked great for the group of people staying there. The house was clean when we showed up and had great amenities to it. We enjoyed the large bedroom and the game room downstairs. The house was very close walking distance to the bars and beach downtown which we loved. When our coffee maker blew up. They brought us a new one within 30 minutes. I highly recommend staying here it’s close to everything. And there’s so much to do in and around the house. The house had everything we needed. I had 5 teenagers and they all had a great time. The house is walking distance to everything even the beach. The second floor was a great little get away. We were originally looking for beachfront property but thanks to the addition of a long golf cart we didn't miss it. The pool was a HUGE hit with the kids and the adults. We also had a great time playing ping pong, badminton, corn hole, air hockey and enjoyed an impromptu Karaoke party thanks to the amenities at the house. There are 2 large and comfortable sitting areas to watch tv and the kitchen had ample space to accommodate both the serious cooks and those just looking for snacks. Came with my family of 5 (6, 4, and 8mo this) plus my parents. The layout was fantastic, our family had the upstairs with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The tv was huge and the games were fun for the kids. The main floor layout was great with 2 more full bedrooms and their own en suite bathrooms and walk in showers. The house is amazingly accessible for aging family members or family with physical disabilities. Lots of space to spread out within the house and everything was well taken care of. The outdoor space was perfect and we swam every day. The listing says no beach/pool gear, but plenty had been left by other tenants. We walked to Center street for some meals and shopping and the walk to the beach was quick and easy. We would 100% stay here again. ##### Ashley J. The house is amazing and the pool was an absolute game changer. Only minor critique I would make is that one of the full beds upstairs needs a mattress change (If you can, put kids in that room! We had a house full of adults and the person sleeping on the left bed had a bit of a rough time getting good sleep). Nothing major, just something to note. Our family enjoyed a week's stay on Folly Island and thoroughly enjoyed this property. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. Compliant with COVID restrictions, the restaurants all had outdoor socially distanced seating. The house is also well situated for a quick walk to the beach. We opted to rent a six person golf cart to help transport our beach gear, but the walk was very easy and quick. The house has very nice amenities, was exceptionally clean upon our arrival, and My Ocean Rental responded very promptly when contacted for a minor issue. The pool was our gathering spot each afternoon and was one of the highlights of our stay. I suggested to the rental agency that the kitchen, while large and well appointed, the cabinets and drawers needed a bit of organizing. I hope for the sake of future renters that this gets completed.
