The apartment is literally in the basement. The floors are painted cement. The hosts definitely tried to make it look nice. However, the floor in the bathroom is mildewy. Unfortunately, the apartment also smelled of smoke. The host offered for us to leave if we wanted - we had no place else to go for our vacation and the host offered a spray odor block. If you can handle the smokey smell and you don't need to spend time in the apartment, it's fine. We loved visiting Charleston and spent some time on the beach as well. ##### Meredith W.
