G.O.'s Getaway is a 3 bedroom 3 bath elevated home. Enjoy ample parking for autos boats and jet skis. This classic Folly Beach getaway has an open floor plan that spans from the living room to the dining area and kitchen. Relax and take in the sights of the waves or stream a good movie via Roku with your personal login. Eight guests will be very comfortable here. The primary bedroom has a king size bed, tv, private bath and ocean views. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and also offers an ocean view. The third bedroom has one king bed and one twin bed. There is another twin bed just beyond the living room area. Outside there is a large elevated open deck as well as a screened in porch both perfect for enjoying the ocean sights and sounds. Underneath the house there is an area for grilling and chilling out after a long day at the beach. You will also find an outdoor shower and the third bathroom can be found underneath the house as well. G.O.'s Getaway allows up to 3 well-behaved, house-broken, flea-treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dog when you inquire. Please note: charcoal/propane and cleaning of grill is the responsibility of the guest. Only real issue was smell upon entry but I'd brought air fresheners. Deck was rocky and some of the planks were tripping hazards. Even though space was a little tight and the furniture, carpets, cabinets, etc are probably from around the 1970’s- 80’s, the beds were very comfortable and the entire interior was immaculately clean. Also the patio furniture is getting pretty rusty. Not sure how long you can continue to rent this place out without some refurbishing. However, the online descriptions didn’t lie. The home is older but very clean. It can accommodate a lot of people comfortably. The management company Folly’s Best is very welcoming and responsive. Just a heads up, there is no dishwasher (but we had teenage boys for that). All and all a great place to stay. My only issue was that we wanted to make the most of our travel days and early check in and late check out was not a possibility. For us personally it makes this property less desirable but I can say everything else was as described or better. FYI, the water pressure in the showers was great. That was really nice after long days in the water and on the beach. I saw another review saying the pillows weren’t great. I found out on March 7 that his fiancé had called the wedding off due to my son’s medical issues. I called Folly Beach Rentals on either March 7 or 8 and asked if they could put back on the market to see if someone else might rent. At the time, the rental was non-cancellation. I usually do not book these types of rentals but I needed a house with 3 bedrooms that also allowed 3 dogs. When the wedding was cancelled my younger son decided that he wasn’t going to come. I did not purchase travelers insurance and that of course was a big mistake on my part. The rental agency refused to help me in any way so my husband and I along with my 18 granddaughter came to the beach. I found the beach house was very dated but very clean. After reading the note that the owner left, I knew this house had many happy times and great memories. The family room had a sofa, loveseat and a nice lazy boy rocker. The kitchen was well stocked even though we only used for breakfast. There was a nice Keurig coffee maker along with a toaster oven and microwave. The refrigerator was very clean but has no ice maker. There is no dishwasher either. The master bed was very comfortable and I liked the ceiling fan. The master bathroom was small but had great water pressure. Great view from deck. ##### Brenda M. Management company was prompt and courteous. This is a very lived in home in need of some updates. If getting to Folly and having lots of room and beds is what you need, this is a good bargain. This has a great porch and deck and is a three min walk from a great part of the beach. Frankly we were hoping for more but this house might fit a guys week or some families with need for lots of space and low end pricing. Dogs are allowed. It is clean but aging, if that makes sense. It needs updated carpet after many years of dogs and some of outdoor furniture is rusting which is an easy fix. Access to the beach was wonderful. The only negative comment is the screen porch was unusable due to two missing screen panels. A big yard, big deck, plenty of room inside, and very close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. However, a few things we wish we would have known in advance: 1) The pillows are not super comfortable. If you're sensitive to that, bring your own. 2) The property managers don't have anything to do with what's inside the house, so if there is an issue with anything, there's really no one who can help. There were only 2 forks at this rental property and they said they couldn't help with that. So we had to take turns with who got forks. 3) The AC is not great. It struggled to get lower than 74/75\.
