"I would not recommend this property at all. It’s basically a low grade motel. Room was dirty and in need of major repair. Grounds were unkept, garbage spilling over. Staff were rude and extremely unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. "

"While Expedia listed our room as “not in main building, canal view”, there was no indication on the map of the property that our room would be in a building across a road with vehicles traveling 55+mph. The staff was kind and the property nice, but we were disappointed to have to either watch for speeding vehicles or get in our car to drive and park the car in order to sit by the water. The main property was relaxing, but it felt stressful to know we couldn’t walk out of our room and get to the beach, on site restaurant, or amenities without crossing the busy main road, especially at night for dinner. With my two sons along, I didn’t feel comfortable sending them across to the main areas without accompanying them. The one bedroom was large and our outdoor balcony was very nice and spacious. It may have been on me to figure out that we had to cross the street to get to the water, but the map was definitely not clear upon booking. "

"Ok so couple issues! We luv Checca but this time was just meh! 1)So not huge issue but while fishing hook came off only had use one rod for more than half of time. When returned we advised situation and personnel clearly to bust to be bothered. It’s not about the cost issue it comes down to basic customer service issues! For a place like this and for the rates they charge the experience should be close to spectacular! 2) food? Hmm where do I begin? Normally we would never complain and say sometimes it’s part of it, but when there’s an issue more than once it’s not a fluke! Service at pool and beach always busy. Not really staff or server isssue, but if your waiting an hour -1hr 30mins for food that’s an issue. When you wait that long and it’s cold! That’s another issue. When it’s cold and u get FF that are never good cold, when they arrive looking like they were basted in oil soggy dripping with lifelessness especially when that’s all u order sides of fries? Really how hard is it to fry fries? B4 responding my family owned and operated seafood and steak restaurants for 30 years and I worked every station often so I know the answer! 3)so golf in pretty ruff shape from tools to use to maintenance of the course. I know it’s a luxury item not professional course etc but it should still be maintained with a standard that it clearly isn’t! 4) the mattresses in the bedroom were toast! You sank well I could continue but I’m just not going to! This trip sadly not a great experience "

"The rooms were large and clean. The pillows were not great, they definitely need a comfort upgrade. The food on property was good. The breakfast was great! Lots of kids everywhere which made it hard to enjoy the pool. The beach was great and the bay was so nice. The majority of the staff was really nice. Ensure to check which package you booked with the front desk as they were hesitant to give us the breakfast package we paid for. I had to verify my package with them by showing them my trip confirmation email and they had to take a picture of my email for proof. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. "

"While this property was adequate, there were a number of annoyances we encountered in our 5 night stay. The toilet was clogged upon our arrival. Maintenance guy pulled out a bar of soap. Very embarrassing for my partner who had used the toilet and couldn't flush it. Ants on the counter and table. The staff came and sprayed Raid on the counter and said an exterminator would be there the next day. The film of Raid remained so we couldnt use the counter until housekeeping cleaned it. I asked for NO housekeeping upon our arrival but someone was in the room at least twice and didnt actually clean it but left a few toiletries, took 2 towels, but left the others. AC unit was working but cycled on and off all night which is not great for a light sleeper. On the positive side, they offered free kayaks but it was difficult to arrange for one because the staff weren't sure when they were available. Even though 5 kayaks were sitting on the beach seemingly unused, the staff said that they were being used by someone. 10 minutes later, all of the kayaks were available even though none had moved. The staff was pleasant and friendly but i got tired of asking for situations to be resolved so i gave up and made do. Everyone is expensive in the Keys so the price was OK...$1227 for 2 people for 5 nights. Good parking. Ice machine was free. Laundry machines were available..around $2 to wash and $2.50 to dry but we didnt use them. The beach is OK, grassy bottom, rough sand and 3 docks.Comfy beds"

"Our villa was not clean upon arrival at 10pm. We had to ask for new sheets, every bed had dirty sheets. The main bathroom mirror was dirty from the prior people brushing their teeth, there was a dirty dried wash cloth hanging over the shower rod, the sink was also dirty in the master bath. We used the pull out couch and it was covered with crumbs and dirt. I’ve never been so disgusted with a rental. The fact we paid the amount we did only to be told that they couldn’t do anything is ridiculous. We will not be back. "
