  • Ashwood Rentals When I vacation in the mountains, I like to feel very comfortable ! From the minute that I arrive, I want to feel like I'm vacationing in my second home. I don't want to check-in at an office, and then go park my car far away from me. I want a place that has easy access to me unloading all of my luggage, groceries, skis, snowboard, and kids! Linens are provided but please bring your own towels.

Flat Top, West Virginia - Almost Heaven

We had 6 adults who enjoyed the very clean Flat Top Farmhouse. The surrounding area was beautiful and there was plenty to see and do. Pipestem Resort includes the Presidential Bunker Tour and if you haven't heard about it - it is worth the time to see it! In summary, we really enjoyed our stay in West Virginia.

Nice house

Good communication with owner, check in was smooth. House was very clean and comfortable. We cooked two meals while staying there, kitchen was well stocked with cookware. There was 7 of us, plenty of room, would stay again. We were all happy with it.

Awesome location for New River adventures

our family of 6 adults and 2 children loved the Flat Top Farmhouse. the farmhouse decor and charm and location made it a great place to relax after our days of exploring the New River. David was quick to respond to my questions and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a place in the area.

Absolutely loved the farmhouse! We had 8 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room plus some! Great kitchen, large washer and dryer, and very convenient to the slopes! Felt like home!

New River Gorge Thanksgiving for 14.

This was a perfect place for our whole three generation family to have a holiday. We could hike at the national park and return to cookware for meals. It had movies, but bring your own games. The farmhouse decor was charming. It is a perfect location for ski season also.

AWESOME

Visually Beautiful . The outside of the house and property are like a fairy tale. The inside was as if we had stepped back in time 50 or 60 years. Yet so clean and fresh as if it were built yesterday. It was an amazing stay. We had family in from Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Florida. Thank you

Memorial weekend

The house and grounds were beautiful. The home had all the amenities you could ask for. Everything was well kept and clean. The home had everything but your clothes and towels. The weather was terrible, but the home had plenty of space where everyone was comfortable. We had a memorial service for our father who passed during covid restrictions. We had 28 relatives from as far away as New Mexico and Ohio. So everyone visited after the service and had a dinner. There was room for everyone to get caught up and memories exchanged. The home was the perfect place since no one still lives there. Then most left and the QUIET of the place was so restful . There were deer, rabbits and ducks nearby to add to the charm. We had a wonderful time. The teens were happy because we were 15 minutes from 3 malls and hudreds of places to eat and shop.

Graduation

This was perfect for my daughter graduation from WVU Tech. It was big enough to have her friends and professors over for a BBQ after graduation. We completely loved it. I really loved the wildlife that came by to visit during my morning coffee on the front Porch. So quiet and relaxing.

Truely a home away from home. Easy trip to slopes, plenty of room for relaxing. Loved having family meals in the dining room. Absolutely wonderful place, hope its available next time

Lovely farm house

Great space for a family! We enjoyed the ambiance of old-school farm house living... quiet neighborhood, bunnies & ducks roaming in the yard, beautiful landscapes nearby. The house is super close/convenient to the Ski Resort, yet very comfortable for those staying behind. The owner was very accommodating to us & very quick to respond. FYI - bring your own bath towels! This was in the description, but waaaaaaayyyyy down at the bottom so we completely missed it. Nothing a quick run to Dollar General can't fix, but it would've been nice for that to be more prominent (most places that include linens include towels too?).

As advertised

Was coordinating church ski trip to Winterplace. The property was excellent!! The snow was georgeous even though we had to park our van down the hill and walk up. The kitchen was stocked properly with utensils and appliances. The owner was readily available when needed during our stay. Could not ask for anymore! Will be trying to get the place every time I go skiing at Winterplace!
