Hotel was beautiful inside. Restaurant was fabulous, food really tasty. Wanted to take the bed and pillows home with us as they were so comfy. Swimming pool was great. Everyone were friendly. Hotel position was perfect, just a short walk from where everything was.

We had a rocky check in as our room was not available and we had to be put in another hotel for the night. Spoke to the manager the next day as the room we were given was not equal to what we had booked and he was great at ensure we were given a satisfactory resolution. All other hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious was nice to have the additional living space to chill after a long day. Breakfast was plentiful and location was spot on. 5 min walk to the free 16th street...

It was accessible to lots of areas of the city, you could walk 10 mins to the free mall tram, 10 mins to bus stops which were easy to use, 5 mins to places such as Capital Hill building and Denver Art Museum.

We stayed for 4 nights in June 2025 and absolutely loved it.
We are on a months road trip around Colorado and The Slate was our first stop so a great start to the holiday.
We cannot think of anything that the hotel could do better. The room, staff, hotel cleanliness and the restaurant food were all exceptional. Also, only a 5 minute walk to 16th Street was great. We would definitely stay there again, no doubt at all about that.
Well done to all the management and staff

Excellent hotel, great location, friendly staff, excellent amenities - would definitely stay here again! The 24 hour gym was well maintained and we really enjoyed our stay!

What a fantastic stay we had at the Populus. The hotel is modern, vibey and located close to downtown with access to a variety of cafes and restaurants. The room was clean and well aesthetic. Would definitely recommend for a city stay!

Comfortable big beds, safe, iron and board, plus small fridge in room.Parking was expensive,so I used Spothero app, and car park was 2 minutes walk away and a quarter of the price,no problems with parking.
