"Owners welcoming and did their best to make sure everything was perfect. Accommodation was clean and well appointed so that everything you needed had been provided. Tranquil setting. Lots of room for parking and table and chairs outside for al fresco eating. Roomy accommodation. Separate living room so TV or children could be separate. 2 en suites and a separate bathroom so every bedroom was catered for."

"A lovely hotel run by lovely staff. We were in the apartment which was fully kitted out and a pleasant place to spend the night. Didn't have tea there, but came back for some delicious puddings, and breakfast was tasty and filling. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and plan to return. Excellent value for money."

"The biggest draw is the location and a fabulous view of the sea. Everything is walking distance and parking is provided (glad we had a smallish car though!) The decor is a bit dated. Room amenities are simple but functional. We didn’t think it was designed for a long term stay as limited room seating options but there’s so much to do in the local area you won’t need to be hanging about the room for long. The continental breakfast provided was excellent."

"The room was clean enough but it is an Old Building . The meals were great and very enjjoyble. but the staff were absolutely SUPERB. It is a family owned and run Hotel and you could not wish for better attention or Help.No it is not 5 star but the Staff make up for the Minor faults. thank you all for a Very Pleasant stay. Haakon."

"Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location. We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast. Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite. Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends."
